View Full Version : Former Eastenders star looking frail, drinking wine in public
Former EastEnders star Elaine Lordan has prompted fresh concern for her welfare after she was seen openly drinking on a public street during an appearance in London.

The actress, who became a household name thanks to her role as fiery Albert Square resident Lynne Hobbs, looked completely unrecognisable while making her way towards a local shop.
Notably gaunt and appearing unsteady on her feet, the 51-year old threw her head back while drinking from the small glass bottle as she paused next to a set of railings.

Poor woman. She lost her whole family within like 18 months. Her baby died, her mum, her dad. :(

Madonna still got it.
Me personally, I can't imagine hiding in a bush taking photos of someone who presumably has an alcohol use disorder and thinking it makes you a journalist

It's a real shame, she was a good actress at times.

I think I remember reading that she struggled to conceive and suffered a number of miscarriages and then gave birth to a boy premature and he died of a hernia (?) or some other condition just before his first birthday. Then her mum committed suicide not long after. :worry:

oh god, that's horrific, I don't know how any parent could get over losing a child (and clearly she hasn't :( ) I echo MB here though, imagine your job is hiding in the bushes and taking pictures of a clearly broken woman

I saw these earlier and they made me so sad for her, she has had such a tough time. I hope somebody close to her steps in and manages to get her some help.

You don't look like that over night, clearly she has not been in a good place for some time.
It's hard and sad to see people slowly kill themselves.

She's had a drink problem for at least 15 years. That's why they sacked her from EastEnders in 2003.

Let's hope she gets help, but for some they only listen to those making the most noise, drink or drugs.
