When I was at school History was my favourite subject. I had a history teacher that inspired me, and a good teacher makes a big difference.

Snap! Mine just stood there and read a piece of paper to us.. I spent most of my time looking out the window.. that maybe why I got an F in history.
Not only the subjects I said but i loved Science too.. bunson burners are great fun

chemistry and the bunsen burner stuff was the only science that i liked.

Well you made some mistakes here!!!
The plural of the verb "to be" is "are" not "is".
So
"but there are some mistakes" is correct.

I have a big problem with "there is/are" followed by "some" !
ex: there is a lot ot there are a lot ? sometimes it makes me mad, I think it's the only big thing I can't resolve ! But normally it's alright !
Back to the thread now, I don't want a mod to punish me ! :laugh2:

Normally you'll just see "there's" in dialogue: it's more of an oral thing. The written rule normally follows the "are" for plural and "is" for singular rule. It's always better to follow this rule even when talking, because there are only a few minor exceptions.
