Very True
He should be arrested for fleeing the scene of a crime.

he looks shifty to me
why did he do a runner from spain anyway?
so what if he goes to prison? he can fight his case from there, rather than abandoning his people and wandering around europe

He can Win the vote
which Spain does not want.
Its about Democracy.
Like the UK voted to leave
the EU , and Won
But no one Leave the EU
goes to jail in our more Democratic nation

This feels very wrong to me and I don't think in the long run it will help Spain's position on Catalan.

but my impression was (correct me if I'm wrong) that the Catalan referendum was illegal.
Imagine if Sturgeon called the second referendum without an ok from London.

Sure that's correct,
alot of dispute on that , though.

there is nothing up for dispute. The spanish government dictate the terms, they decided it was illegal, made it clear it was illegal before Puigdemont carried out his actions, and he then ran for escape to another country. He needs to go back and face the consequences of his actions.
