I'm away for a few days but I'm looking forward to getting engrossed in it on my return

Buzzin to get some squash action back in my life :clap1: that and curling are those sports I only get to enjoy every four years

Caught up on this morning's action

England's Sarah-Jayne Perry was a MESS at the squash, constantly arguing with the ref, he asked her to wipe the sweat on the floor with her shoe and she laid down and used her wristband instead and got warned for it :joker: came off like a bit of a twat tbh...she'd be great housemate!

Can't believe Adam Peaty lost that gold

Yeah he's not been on form this meet, maybe it's cause it's so early in the year idk

Elsewhere though I'm feeling really optimistic about the rest of the swimming team, looks like we've got some great opportunities heading into Tokyo. Especially Ben Proud, he's coming on leaps and bounds :clap1: hope he wins tomorrow

England have been quite disappointing tbh I thought they would be in the hunt for more golds

This was cancelled the moment the BBC didn't send Helen Skelton to cover the swimming

England are level with Australia at half-time in the netball final :clap1:

We're the first team from the Northern Hemisphere to ever make it there, every previous tie was always NZ vs Aus

Not sure if anyone saw but we won the semi-final by one point in the last second, great drama

Something to behold.
Amazing.

Did you see poor Callum Hawkins collapse towards the end of the marathon?
I was near to tears watching him weaving across the road after suffering with heatstroke.

Just went to Closing ceremony and it was really good. Overall the games have been brilliant. Security was extreme but quick and easy, the venues were clean and nice but the seats in the temporary venues were so bad. The GC was dead quiet all games and made traffic minimal.

Also Dami Im’s peformance at Closing was incredible. Her Big note at the end was just perfect. I’ve never gotten emotional at a singer but tonight was the first this has happened. Many Aussies are pissed off that athletes enterance wasn’t broadcasted and the closing was a massive fail. Yes it had major flaws in the show but overall the performances were brilliant.

Good luck Birmingham for 2022. Your welcome video was cute but didn’t understand anything anyone was saying. It was like you were talking in a different language.

It’s 1am so good night.

The live Birmingham insert in the closing ceremony was really cool :amazed:

Yeah that was very distressing to watch

Found it really disgusting how the best people nearby could do was get their phones out to record it all :umm2: what kind of society have we created?

Glad you had a good time! The closing ceremony was okay but I personally thought the opening ceremony was the best of any Olympics/Paralympics/Commonwealths since London 2012 :clap2:
