First things first, should I continue with these ____ or ____ music threads or not?
I really want to post two per day, so as to boost up your post count and also to bring life into this dead forum...
I will obviously cater to all members of TiBB and do different polls, not only Pop girls or RnB related...
I will vote only when I’ve listened to both artists enough to form an individual opinion on both of them...
So anyways,
Brandy and Monica are both known for being the leading teens in the RnB genre back in the mid-late 90s, though both of them are not that mainstream anymore, they still make music.
The two were often considered huge rivals so nobody expected that they’d do a collaboration
with “The Boy Is Mine”, which is one of the hugest bops in the late 90s...
This song was also both of their signature songs.
They both experienced a huge career after TBIM.
Though now, they are both rivals at war unfortunatley.
So who do you prefer?
Well I myself prefer Brandy, just because she is more unique than Monica, in fashion and vocals especially. She should have gotten more success after the 90s but a fatal car crash in the mid 00s that she was involved in made her lose popularity, a lot.
