I remember 9/11 but I was born in July of that year so I'm robably confusing it with another terrorist attack because I'm sure 2.5 month old me doesn't remember.

I think it was either 9/11 or I remember watching on TV the funeral of the queens motherThis makes me feel so ancient; I was in my late teens when 9/11 hit, I remember getting home from school and no one was in so I was just sat watching the news alone like "Ehmagerd" when the first collapse happened...
That said, some people on here were grandparents before 9/11 so maybe not that ancient... :joker:

It’s not the first story I remember but I was a week away from turning 15. We were at my Grandma’s house and the initial news report about Madeleine McCann came on the TV and I remember being obsessed with the story and frequently aksing my mum if she had been found and even getting a bollocking from my Business Studies teacher for using the computer to use the internet checking for updates (although tbf there wasn’t much she didn’t give me in **** for, the cow)

Probably the Bosnian War, which then resulted in us doing Operation Christmas Child in infants school and sending toys/clothing/books in shoeboxes over to kids out there affected in Sarajevo. 1994/5ish?

Dianna dying. I had a tv in my room while my sister didn't, so on weekend and holiday mornings she'd come in to watch Tweenies and stuff. One day all that was on was the news, and we were rather confused!

9/11. Even though I was only 5, it was such a monumental event that I could remember it clearly...

For me I think it was 9/11, I remember coming home from School and remember seeing rubble on the news, and my Mom and Dad being in shock at what had happened.
