New guidelines could drive existing long standing members away though - new members could sign up and then never post leaving this place a ghost town (more than it is now in off season). As long as it stays in the private area new members would not be put off by it as they can't access those threads until they have reached 100 posts anyway :shrug:

Re. forum, it doesn't have to be that way. Shorten the name to TiBB and enlarge sections for new vibrant shows (RPDR, for example) and the forum may remain relevant.

Its not arguing Matthew - we are just discussing things. This has been a fairly balanced thread and I can see both sides. Personally I don't think raising the age limit will do much unless every member has to provide id when they sign up - like FB the younger ones will just put a fake date of birth in. At least with the way things are at the moment we have an idea of ages of members so you can be aware of the content you address to them if you know they are younger (but to be fair I'm sure they hear worse irl than on here, I know I did and that was back in the dark ages)

I think age limits are always pretty arbitrary, ours might be 13 but I don't think we actually have any members that age anymore. We could raise it but the reality is it would be difficult to enforce, people have always avoided age limits and if anyone purposely seeks out a BB forum to post in then I don't think they will be so naive that this place could single handedly corrupt their innocence. Also while not many members now are under 16 there are a lot of long standing members on here who started posting when they were 14 or 15 because rightly or wrongly BB always did have a lot of viewers that age
