Been manager since 1996.

I honerstly doubt the next manager will do (much) better than they are doing currently.

The way the fans have treated him is disgusting especially when he has gave most of his career to the club

About 3 years too late, ruined his legacy by clinging on for too long

Without doubt one of the best Premier league managers in his day (98 season I think it was Aresenal were phenomenal) Should have gone a while ago but still an Arsenal legend who deserved better than he got from some of the fans just lately

Arsenal Fan TV has a lot to answer for in my opinion.

It is when you don't get behind him.

You cried for him to spend big so he broke the transfer record twice to sign 2 players who are using the team as a stepping stone .

Without Wenger and Dyche most likely to be his replacement player's won't want to come anymore

About time, TBH.

He should have gone after the second recent FA cup. He was a great manager who is in a great part responsible for the success of the Premiership but he has been out of ideas for about four years now. Everyone else has caught up with his techniques and he hasn't moved on. The fact that this year we arent even playing good football was the last straw. This has been coming for a while and I agree James I don't think the next manager will do much better which should in part tell you the kind of mess the club is currently in.

I'd like Nagelmann. Young, innovative and progressive but I think Bayern have got their eye on him. Allegri would be a dream as would Jardim. Not too keen on Tuchel but he does know a few of our players already

Without Wenger and Dyche most likely to be his replacement player's won't want to come anymoreThis is not a new problem. For me, he should have gone in 2014 -2015 cuz two things happened. We won the FA cup by thrashing Villa and it would have been a nice way to go out and the second was we went out of the ECL to Monaco. At the time it was a shock yet now we would be expected to lose to Monaco. An indication of how the club has gone backward in the last five years. It was the way we went out that bothered me and it was the first time I really thought Wenger was finished and the payers were not good enough. It was what you are seeing now. A game where we could not hold on to a lead and lost in the last minute even though we were still going thru with five minute on the clock. It was the first time I really started to doubt Wenger and his methods.

Actually a third thing happened. We finished fourth so Wenger thought all that side needed was a goalkeeper and signed Petr Cech. It was s real  moment for me. The team has had the same problems for about a decade and he still hasn't addressed them

He was a revolutionary and progressive manager and for that he deserves enormous credit. But the operative word is 'was'. He has been weak tactically for a few years ow.

The Celtic owner has said he can join Arsenal if he wants which is a very odd thing to say unless there has already been discussions

Word is Tuchel is the number one target. He shut out our new chief scout Sven Mislinstat when they were both at Dortmund causing Mislinstat to join Arsenal. At one point he banned him from the training ground so not sure thats gonna work.

Rodgers is a good choice if you wanna ship 50 goals a season and buy 70% average player

Look at Xhaka and Mustafi; we paid 70 million for those two.

At least with hope he will buy Minoglet from us .

I think he only made like 4/5 successful signings at Liverpool

He's the only player I can think of who looks better now than before we signed him - TBH he should play more games. Underrated IMO - Everyone else looks worse now they've come to Arsenal :smug:

You missed out on the Oxi think he looks much better than he did at Arsenal, I didn't think he would stand much of a chance in your midfield but he looks likes he's fitting in just fine. If he had stayed at Arsenal he still be out wide IMO. Debuchys doing well in France scoring goals, Coquelin scored his first ever goal in spain less than a month after leaving, then there's Walcott - I think I was right about him all along.:joker:

He has apparently been sacked but they let him go out with dignity

Mystic Mock

He has been an iconic manager for the not just Arsenal but the Premier League too.

And as a Blues fan I always used to dread us playing Wenger's sides when we was in the Premier League as Wenger like Sir Alex could always make the opposition scared of his sides. And also I wouldn't moan at 6th place in the Premier League and being in the Semi-Final of the Europa League against Atletico Madrid either.

He has done a great job with Arsenal over these 22 years, and I hope that he decides to manage elsewhere rather than retiring.

Heard this too. The empty seats, not the poor results, finally made Kroenke take action. Another indication of the state of the club.

Ambivalent about this news, really.

Of course I'm primarily sad because he's been there since I was six years old... and he's lifted the club to a huge power. Plus I just genuinely like the guy, in spite of his stubbornness and dated qualities. I'm going to miss that wry smile.

But I'm more fearful of where we go next, and have long thought the problem was the boardroom more than the figurehead (although he was a major part of our tactical failings and squad choices)
