Legend
Queen of raising awareness and money for a good cause!Oh! was that the reason she quit, to get this story in the press to raise awareness?
She's a crafty devil is that Pricey, and a mastermind at getting publicity.

From my understanding she didn't do much, if any training, so for her to bag another 15 minutes for quitting the marathon when there's people who've trained religiously for months and smashed it getting lesser amounts is wrong I think.
Morgan.

And she can say the costume was 'too heavy' but the marathon isn't meant to be easy so to quit for that is a **** excuse. Take it off if you must, but at least understand what you've signed up for.

In my opinion she never intended to finish. She wanted a few pictures wearing the costume and that was it. Why would you have a full face of make up and a head full of extentions to run a marathon?
She took someones place who would have trained and ran the marathon with pride to raise money for a good cause. Not even sure how anyone can defend her really.

Exactly. She said the costume was too heavy at first then said her leg hurt or something. She legitimately took someones place who would have probably loved to have taken part.

Yep, someone else's whomtrained like you said would've loved that space in the marathon and she received it and wasted it.

8 miles isn't bad and still raised money for a good cause

It's a 26.something mile marathon though. She raised 2k (less than some of the civilians competing - yes still money but that's saying something) and she took someone's spot who may well have finished it.

The problem here is she knew full well she wasn't going to finish.

She should have done a bit more but she tried and 8 miles isn't that bad, some people can do it some people can't but try but she raised money which is the main thing. My friend couldn't do her marathon fully and i wouldn't criticize them for it because it is what is, as long they raised some money.

She didn't train for it?
As Amy said, she went completely unprepared. All done up for a photoshoot and nothing more.
The sad thing is she could've raised that money and more through her name and fame alone. So taking someone's spot who actually DID train and could've done with the opportunity to be able to raise those kinds of funds was completely unfair.

If she had actually trained though and gone into the the race prepared instead of treating it like a photo opportunity she may have gone further. Imagine if you had applied and been knocked back from taking part so some boot like her could turn up to have her picture taken and run less than half the race and run to an after party?

Yeah she could of done more but you know 8 miles is still good. I wouldn't criticize anyone for quitting tbh as they still did a good thing and raised some money. I wouldn't mind if i was knocked back because chances are not all of them are going to complete it, there's always next time and other opportunities and others are still raising money and awareness at the end of the day.

Not finishing it despite your hard work or an unforeseen circumstance is not the same as not finishing it because you didn't take it seriously.

She was too exhausted was she poor thing. She managed afternoon tea though while thousands of others carried on. She made no effort and her poor showing proves it.
I have loads of respect for anyone who partakes, even when they sadly fail to reach the finish but judging by her apperance at the start she never took it seriously at all. What stupid bitch has a full head of extentions wrapped around her like a scarf to run a marathon on the hottest day the marathon has ever been held?

it's not like she quit straight away, 8 miles proves she put effort in and still good, she raised money and awareness, it's something which is better than nothing. The only issue is what she was wearing but still doesn't make her a bitch or a bad person.

I don't see any of you crying over the ones who quit before her.
Also isn't it about taking part?
What is Katie Price favourite film?
8 Mile

If someone takes part and has trained and has every intention of completing the run but for any reason finds themselves unable to finish then yes then I would agree it is the 'taking part that counts' of course.
All the facts indicate she had no intentions of finishing. She never trained, she wore a costume too heavy to run in and she turned up in full make up and a full head of thick extentions. After dropping out she was seen in a cafe and then in a resturant having cakes while others laboured on.
As I said, she took someones place who may have been desperate to run, trained hard and wanted to raise money but they were unable to get a place to this attention seeker wanted her pictur taken.

She’s a mess - makes a mockery of the people who trained and worked hard for this marathon. Also she raised a pitiful amount for such a rich celebrity, if she’d given two days of her wages she would have raised that much...
Also she walked the majority of the 8 miles... stop acting like she worked hard for those 8 miles
I honestly don't know enough about her to judge her quittiness. I just know her from BB... and a few articles where she talks about stuff that is too TMI and not very lady like.. she came off very well in CBB though
Barry.

I guess I agree with Amy, she took someone’s place and didn’t train.
