That's genuinely so creepy. I have been on a few tinder dates so this is chilling tbh. Wonder if it's real?

Bloody hell, is that real? :o

Sounds like Dexter

Surely that would have been all over the news though if that actually happened?

Probably fake

Probably fake

I googled it and could only find one newpaper article but they could only quote that voice recording too and didn't know if it was real or not so I'm inclined to agree that it's probably fake. That would have been a huge news story

Sounds fake because unless she had a glass door surely the police would need that thing to break down her door? And they only really use that when they're rioting into a house. I don't know, sounds weird though.

Also, he managed to get her keys when he went into her house. How did he know she was going to invite him in, especially since he drugged her?

AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THE NEWS!!

It probably is apocryphal, but it's still a creepy story. I was expecting it to be like "OMG he keeped asking to come home tho I said no, then he followed me, HASHTAG ME TOO"

I was talking to my friend about this and actually I put myself in real danger because I let guys pick me up from my house to go on a date, my parents are never here weekends as they go and stay in their stupid static caravan so I am effectively a sitting duck haha

So it's your parents fault for you putting yourself in danger.
They are stupid for treating you like a responsible adult.

Anyone who can read can see I said I put myself in real danger.

Can you not read or are you just picking a fight out of boredom?

Once this 'straight' guy wanted me to get into his van at night and **** him so I went to his van and he opened the door but it was pitch black and I could just hear a voice saying "come in" and I was like "can I at least shine a torch it's so dark" and he said "no because i want to remain anonymous" at that point my murderer signals were going off and even though i brought a knife with me for protection I ran off

So how is that her parents fault? i don't know why you are calling them stupid that is rude to criticize someones family :umm2:

Amy is an adult who makes her own decisions on what to do with her life which the danger would be her fault and her own mistake not her family.

Amy's a grown woman, what you blathering on about?

She simply said, her parents go away so she's home alone. Therefore if anything did happen with a date, she's on her own at home.

That story would be creeeeeeepy if it was true. :omgno: It's unlikely to happen anyway but it's possible.. there's definitely some weird stalker/psycho people out there. Although I don't think it means people shouldn't use Tinder and stuff but to just always be a little careful with new people you meet in general.

Very unsettling to listen to but on the positive side of things, if the story IS true, at least the girl was mostly unharmed and is currently safe and hopefully this sick bastard she went on that date night with rots behind bars because that's the only place for scum like that

What happened to meeting someone on a night out, or through friends? The current trend for meeting strangers through the internet seems generally scary to me.

I was so close to that straight daddy real ness :bawling:

It's kind of strange thinking that a guy who wants to be with another guy is straight. I would have thought it was more that he was gay and in denial.

If he won't have dinner and a movie with you, he doesn't deserve to be intimate with you.

And yeah no man with a van. What a frightening experience.

In all seriousness though, the VAST, VAST majority of people you meet anywhere (be that in a bar, or on a website) are not going to be out to harm anyone and the chances of meeting up with someone who seems totally normal when chatting on the app, but then turns out to be a murderer, are minuscule. I mean yeah if you start meeting up with people who are already coming across as weird when chatting, that's going to significantly increase the risk... but even then, the most likely scenario is that they'll just be a bit weird.

That said, giving out your home address to someone you've only chatted to a couple of times via messages probably isn't the best idea. You don't even know if they're the person in the picture.

Plot twist; it WAS Dexter, the girl he was trying to kill was actually a serial killer called "The Black Widow" who killed her Tinder dates after sex, but now Dexter has been arrested and she's free to strike again :worry:
