a riot is going on in Netherlands, some people want to make lots of noise as a protest to the 2 minutes of silence which is every year at May 4th

i do think we need to remember those who gave their lives to liberate us from the germans in world war 2, but other war victims should also be remembered for their heroic actions in other wars all over the world

Why do they not want to do it?

bc some find it hypocrite to keep doing this every year :fist: :fist:

we were liberated by these poor souls who gave their lives in doing so

show a little respect i say

most who protest are not youth (cause they are all silent surprisingly)

more people within the ages 35-47, who are annoyed that it is a waste of time :oh:

Is it just at certain places Nicky or are people supposed to fall silent wherever they are? We have a 2 minutes silence on 11th November but it is normally at War memorials etc so people can choose if they want to observe it. I don't think people should really be forced to fall silent.

These people gave up their lives for me - in effect then, were SILENCED for eternity - the least I can do to thank them is to pay silent respect to them for two minutes.
