genderquake ch4 09.05.18

watching was confusing
but ignorance was no flaw
i new heartbreaking educational and amusing
would deliver channel four.
acceptance of people
not of colour gender or creed
obviously been dropped at church steeple
all let down by life and normality need.
school was back flashing
memories were heartening
instantly had crashing
hearing school corridor was like sea parting.
did not like judging
that was a terrible scenario
compassion was out of window smudging
that was only part of pain for romario.
mum and brothers explaining
it was taken with graciousness
on heart strings its caining
seeing all sides explains spaciousness.
thanks to all who did participate
from you all i did take
bow down to ch4 and congratulate
a learning curb was genderquake.

I didn't see the documentary but I watched the debate, and although I liked the idea of it I didn't think it was executed all that well. We hardly heard anything from the non binary person and I think that's an area where people probably have the most confusion (myself included), and we hardly heard from the trans man either and again they're usually really underrepresented. Most of the points weren't really discussed that in depth at all and by not many of the panelists, I think they tried to cram too many topics in for the time they had and tbh a lot of it was taken up by Caitlyn Jenner waffling on so that didn't help  Also I thought the host was unnecessarily confrontational with Germaine Greer, it was very odd to interview her like that during what was supposed to be a debate and I felt like maybe she did it to try and cause a controversy for the headlines/ratings, which is a shame.

Is this the third time Kathy Newman has made herself look ridiculous?
