Do you feel sorry for Thomas Markle?

Just watching the news and yeah it was a bit silly of him (or his daughter tbf) to invite a paparazzi to come and take staged pictures but it seems to have been an attempt to be left alone by people hounding him in his day to day life and being chased on the motorway.

The guy is in poor health and it has to be frightening to suddenly be under such a spotlight.

I'm going to say; yes, I do feel for him a little. Some people feel 'awkward' about being thrust into the spotlight and do not really know how to best handle it.

It MUST be overawing for your daughter to marry British Royalty and it's not as though he's murdered, anyone.

Yes I do, it’s the ugly sisters fault, Samantha Markle, who is causing all this mayhem, and her brother Thomas Markle jnr. Seems they are jealous of their successful sister.

I wouldn't say I feel sorry for him, no. His current predicament with regard the photos is all self inflicted. They say he is a private person and like to keep a low profile and yet he isn't doing that while her mother is. If her mother is able to stay out of the press, so is he. I think he is probably taking bad advice and I do think that the machinery around the royals could have helped. Meghan and Harry could have employed someone to handle the pressure for him, they can afford it.

Not sure if the heart problem is an excuse or genuine but if he can then he should be at his daughter's wedding, in years to come they will probably both regret it if he isn't.

if the family have a colourful history then Mehgan will have known only too well what to expect. It's not like she or Harry are strangers to what goes on. They could have managed the situation, perhaps they tried and he refused to play ball, who knows, but I still don't have any sympathy. These are not people trapped into a situation by poverty etc.

Big fuss about nothing in my opinion. Many families have much bigger problems. Who cares whether he can or will attend the wedding of his daughter bagging herself a Prince. As soon as she has a child she is made for life whether the marriage lasts or not - and she knows it!
