story:
The eighth Big Brother is due to begin on Wednesday 30th May and the show has hinted at what to expect for this year - a time warp!
The clues have been in the eye logo that accompany the show each year. This time around, two eyes have been released: one in black and white, the other in multi-coloured stripes like that of a TV test still.
The inspiration for the time warp theme has stemmed from BBC’s popular sci-fi drama Life On Mars, where main character Sam Tyler is involved in a crash and ends up living in the 1980’s. However, in Big Brother, the contestants will be transported to the 1950’s.
A show source tells The Daily Star: "It's like Life On Mars. Some of the housemates will have to life like post-War Brits, and eviction will be their only means of escape."
Half of the housemates will be living in the 1950s style, surviving on basic rations and having only a small hob to cook on. They will also have to bathe in a small tin tub. The remaining contestants will be living in modern luxury.
We look forward to seeing how many of the snooty housemates decide to walk out in their first week…
