Before I start this ramble, I'd just like to say that I am HUGE fan of Big Brother, I absoluetely love it, but I just can't help but feel worried. How much longer can they go on? It's obviously stressful for the producers and people working on the show, having to design the house and come up with new ideas every year, and every series there is always some sort of controversy that turns people against it... How much longer do you think Big Brother can go on for until it's just completely forgotten? I know I will always remain a loyal fan, no matter what happens. What do you guys think?

I will be a loyal fan for a long time to come
but i suppose its one of those questions like "how long is a piece of string" no one knows, but when it does reach its end i will be very sad indeed.
that is of course if BB will ever end

I think Big Brother can go on for a very long time like Survivor long which has had 14 seasons. Its not the twists and the house that makes Big Brother it is the housemates who make each series unique and enjoyable the house, tasks, and twists just serve as a backdrop. If the casting remains on par then we expect a good long run from our favorite evil brother.

Precisely, every year is going to be different, new people, new characters, tasks and things just provide things to provoke the HM's
Get the right housemates and it can go on and on for many more years to come, obviously it has it's ups and downs but you expect it from a show like BB.

:dog: Ages and ages. As long as Britain is full of complete nutters willing to spend 13 weeks under the public eye, there will be a bb. Seeing these programmes recently has proved to me that no matter what happens BB can continue. As long as CBB5's race row doesnt turn this series into another bb4 (the logo already reminds me of bb4s) lol.

Its definatly going up to BB11 as someone above said. A £300 million contract was signed by C4 to broadcast 9, 10, 11. :D

The thing with BB is that every year is different to the last. So even if one year its really really really bad and has rubbish ratings and nobody is voting, the nexct year it could be amazing an have brilliant ratings and all that jazz. I cant see BB ever being axed but maybe it will have a year off some time in the future.

Many less people watch bb these days which is an abso luto shame. When I used to talk to people about it at school they all seemed to watch it and have something to say about it. But during BB6 and BB7 and now in the build up to BB8 everyone I talk to either doesnt care and has no interest in it, doesnt watch it and doesnt plan to or is not bothered either way. The only person I know personally (who I haven't met through one lot of bb forums or another) who gives a damn is my mum and even she is getting a bit fed up with it now. Whilst I think it'll go on for a good 4 or 5 years yet I think they'll need to soon start promoting it properly as the advertising is aimed at already fans or ex-fans who know of the show theres not an ad I've seen since BB1 and 2 that has explained what BB is about and why the viewer should watch it. Plus they limit the advertising to ad breaks on channel 4 (which isnt the most watched channel ever). I havent seen any billboards or cross channel cross platform presenter interview promotion minus an interview davina did with Paul Ogrady on Channel 4.

Seeing as shows like EastEnders can go on for 22 years and Coronation Street 40 whatever years, I think Big Brother has a good few years left in it yet.

It can last for ages. Big Brother has the same style but never changes really, theres always different characters, a different house = a different mood!

Unfortunately I see what you mean their , its not the talking point of the nation it once was. But maybee after 2 years away from all the attention , BB8 can become huge and set Britain alight? I hope so...
