View Full Version : Contradicting the point of the show!

Just read some of the new rules, which more or less state that if there is an argument, somebody involved will automatically be kicked out! Isn't conflict one of the main points of big brother.
I do not understand this supposed racism row, there have been far worse arguments than Jade's 'racist attack' on Shilpa. People need to be honest, this row was the highlight of the whole series. Fair enough, feeling sorry for Shilpa but i genuinely feel sorry for people sitting at home and feeling the need to complain because of an argument which has broken out behind a television screen and I personally think big brother should not apologise because it's not their fault two women (I use the term advisably on Jade's behalf) had a row, o sorry I forgot, a 'racism' row. I assure you now, somebody at home with no life, will constantly complain about the tiniest of situations which occurr in big brother eight and I personally think Jade and Shilpa should apologise for ruining the point of big brother, which is conflict. So, if your somebody who complained about the Jade and Shilpa siutation and an amazing character gets kicked out for calling somebody annoying in big brother eight, you can be proud of yourself for causing this and be even prouder when this big brother becomes the last one ever because nobody will not want to watch a series with no conflict in it. Well done!
couldnt agree more, it was all blown out of proportion because of the media! Thanks to those 40,000 miserable begrudging people who complained bb8 prob wont be that good! Thanks alot!

i agree but what you have to remember is that the point of this show was to be a social experiment, stick people in a house and see what happens. when something bad happens they make the biggest deal out of it. this is society, this is england.
big brother has messed to much with them. this messing is, at times rather funny though

I think there will still be conflicts, just if it gets like "I dont like you cause your ______" thats when it will break a rule.

The only reason the whole "racism" row was blown so badly out of proportion becuase all her fans in india were protesting because someone hates their beloved shilpa
and i couldnt agree more, the whole point of BB is to see how different people react to each other in a confined environment, this usually leading to arguements
The new rules, kinda take away the whole point of BB

I agree so much Lil-Lindz. If this is the way BBs gonna be, its gonna be a trainwreck this year

the news only got back to india when the media here blasted it everywhere! they dont get channel 4 over there so their perceptions we based on what the media had been telling them.

God only knows what will happen if Fight Night #2 breaks out.
Bad editing is the reason that race row happened. Yes it was racist, but we didn't have to see it like that.

No, I think for people going on a tv show they should know to behave and not start arguments. I dont agree that it is part of the show to be arguing and nasty.

We need to see it because like the last poster said if we didn't we couldn't have made an informed opinion on who to vote for.
Like I keep saying Witch Gobby and her Coven are to blame for the new rules and not producers, channel 4 or the people that complained. If they hadn't done what they did then we wouldn't be in this position.
Arguments are fine and are always going to happen but when it crosses the line and becomes bullying or violent then they can step in and issue warnings or at worst boot them out.

And that was were the producers and channel 4 went wrong they should have should have thrown them all out of the house to the waiting press.

What's the betting the people who complained are upset Love Island fans? xD!
The whole racism row was taken TOO far.
Nothing was said when Anthony called Derek a 'malteaser head' (refrains from loling) - That could be considered racist ye?

The racism row ..... what racism row it was just two people who didnt like each other and Jade took it a bit far by bullying Shilpa. But the press blowed it out of proportion and the Indian people in India just acted stupidly because someone didnt like Shilpa. It was taken too far and it had nothing to do with race and i hope it doesnt affect BB8 because theres a huge difference between racism and bullying.

i think and correct me if im wrong, but having a group of 15 people living in a house the size of a mathbox is SURELY goign to cause some if not alot of disruption and arguments. My case is closed.
Ive allways wanted to say that!

yes but we dont want arguments involving bullying and racism and serious stuff like that caz frankly i'd rather not watch it . the odd conflict over stuff should be fine tho, maybe bb's just being strict now but will be more flexible when it comes to it . looks like a great house anyways .
