RAY: I noticed he tried to smuggle a litre of vodka into the house, but it was confiscated. He's clearly a drinker. Lucky he wasn't in the house with me—I'd have had a bit of competition in the boozing stakes.
TANIA: SHE'S a little stunner—and that could keep her in, even if the personality ends up not matching the looks. She didn't look like she was trying too hard. She dressed casually without loads of make-up.
GOS: HE didn't say much but he seemed like a really nice guy. He still lives with his parents and admits they do all the work—so he's going to have to get used to cleaning or he'll annoy everyone. I liked him immediately.
ANOUSKA: SHE was tarted up to the nines, wasn't she—in her high heels and tight skirt. Then the rest came in all casual and she looked daft. She was driving me mad within ten seconds of entering that house.
SISSY: SHE looked great fun—really natural and friendly. I could imagine her going mad in a club. She must have had a tough childhood if her dad died. But she seems tough and bouncy and deals with it.
FEDERICO: HE thinks he's a bit of a lad— but he's really a bit of a prat. All the girls would turn him down one by one as they hear he expects to have sex with them wearing a silly thong. He's not even Italian—he's a Jock.
CAMERON: AT first sight he seemed like a really sweet person that you could go and have a chat with. He seemed really nice—but looked a bit bewildered by everything. I worry for him. I think it's his first time out the Orkneys and he'll find it a bit odd.
SCOTT: HE'S really cute. He reminds me of Will Young a bit. But I couldn't really get my head round what he was like because he could barely be heard above all the noise that the girls were making all the time.
JUSTINE: I REALLY liked her. She was bubbly and she made an effort to be really, really nice to absolutely everyone as they came into the house. She's got a twin sister and she looked really upset to be leaving her.
JON: HE looked nice. He describes himself as a bit of a rebel but, to be honest, I could hardly hear him at all because the girls were screeching. He's going to find it tough to get a word in. He's so overpowered.
STEPH: SHE was lovely, although she hung back a bit. She seems close to her family so she'll probably miss them like mad. And she's a bit of a Plain Jane, but it would only take a bit of make-up to make her look good.
NUSH: SHE looked fun—a natural hippy girl—and she's so in love with her boyfriend, Jess. She plans to do yoga, but she'd best be careful the camera doesn't catch her in some odd angles. Bet the lads like it, though.
