i'm kinda rooting for Fortuna Sittard now, i admire how they fought themselves back to the top level from being bankrupt to promoting to eredivisie

their owner is the same turkish owner, who was director at Galatasaray

Vitesse has a russian owner, who is friends with Abramovich

NAC Breda has a deal with Manchester City, who loans out players to them

Crimson Dynamo

but dutch analists said about PSV this season, ''schijtbakkenvoetbal'' meaning ''coward's passive football'' and the ones who said that were twente fans and fc twente got relegated haha karma is a bitch

It isn't realistically gonna happen, but it would be a nice shake-up if say Ajax and PSV both had an off year.

And the pundits judge on who's playing the more entertaining Football rather than on who is actually the better Football team, it's why I rarely trust their analysis.

Nicky91
16-12-2018, 10:38 AM
to summarize last nights football matches

PEC & NAC ended 0-0 draw, NAC had good scoring opportunities including some good passes from Manchester City loanee Pablo Fernandes but it ended in a 0-0 draw

PSV won their match very easily with 0-4 in Almelo against 9 man team from Heracles, first Drost got sent off with red in first half's extra time and then the german player Lennart Czyborra got sent off with red in second half's extra time

AZ Alkmaar won at home with 2-1 agains Excelsior Rotterdam, by goals from Stanley Til and Bjorn Johnson, former AZ striker El Hamdaoui was one of excelsiors subs in the second half

Vitesse won at home with 2-1 against VVV, goals by former real madrid talent Alexander Odegaard and Algerian goal scoring machine Oussama Darfalou

every Chelsea fc loanee made their appearance with Vitesse, including trusted portuguese goalkeeper Eduardo who is becoming the trustworthy 1st goalie for Vitesse, at the age of 39

so now today we get Heerenveen vs Utrecht in about 40 minutes from now

and then we get afternoon matches and one match around dinner time for us which is feyenoord vs my team Fortuna sittard

Nicky91
16-12-2018, 10:49 AM

and then the last round before winter break

Ajax already has their first winter signing now in Magallan, from Boca Juniors

Nicky91

Nicky91

Fortuna Sittard have signed 2 new players

a goalkeeper Azbe Jug from slovenia, he came over from Sporting Lisbon

and a midfielder Andrija Balic, croatian coming over on loan from Udinese, he's nicknamed the croatian Pirlo

and we are looking for a defender as replacement for our injured captain Dammers as we speak

Nicky91
01-02-2019, 12:46 PM
winter transfers for Fortuna

we got a albanian attacking midfielder Zeka from LOSC Lille in france,

and yesterday on deadline day we signed French defender Mahamadou Dembele on loan from Red Bull salzburg, and signed on free transfer german defender Anthony Syhre from wurzburger in germany

It's a very good first year back up imo, especially considering you guys have not been in the league since the 90's was it? It's always difficult trying to stay up in the first season after being promoted so if you guys can stand within the top 12 of the table then it's a successful season imo.

And you's beat Feyenoord which is some going.

another loss now for Fortuna but against the top PSV, with 3-0 in eindhoven

yeah ok it's still a good comeback, also nice signings done (considering they play no european football) but still interesting for those players to come to sittard

Balic was in starting 11 first match for him now, i thought he played decent

Dembele came in for heerings, also not that bad of a defender

Koselev, despite getting goals against he is a good goalkeeper, he has his great moments and a few bad moments, but all goalkeepers have that i think

Tbf Tottenham has struggled against PSV in the champions League this season and that's a top English Premier League side there's no shame in your team struggling against them, and if some of your new signings are already showing potential then you's will be in good form soon enough once the new signings have gotten into a rhythm with each other.

yes, but oof new defender Syhre injured at training, luckily he was only bought on free transfer

tbf the weakest teams here with us are De Graafschap, NAC Breda and i guess Emmen had a Lucky start to the season but now they are showing they are possibly too weak for the highest level, Excelsior has luck on their side against the bigger teams ajax, feyenoord, psv but they flop against the teams ranked beside them

NAC Breda another loss for them at home against AZ with 0-3

Ajax lost away against Heracles Almelo with 1-0 just before important champions league match against real madrid ouch

Heerenveen and PEC Zwolle 1-1 draw doesn't help both teams

Feyenoord another easy win for them against de graafschap 4-0

and VVV won with 2-1 at home against willem II

today's program

Fortuna Sittard at home against excelsior

Groningen vs Vitesse Arnhem

FC Emmen vs ADO Den Haag

and finally closing the weekend FC Utrecht vs PSV

6-0 is an unfortunate scoreline though.

Heracles have 10 wins, 2 draws and 10 losses now and currently solid in top half heading for possibly european football

they got a german coach Frank Wormuth who was formerly the german under 20 coach at summer olympics

also spanish top goalscorer for them Adrian Dalmau, who they signed from valladolid but is also former youth product of fc Barcelona

quite a few german talents here

goalkeeper Janis Blaswich, defenders Lennart Czyborra, Sebastian Jakubiak, Maximillian Hartmann

and midfielder (former youth product of ac milan and stuttgart player in the year they became champions) kazakhi german alexander merkel

Nicky91
06-03-2019, 12:28 PM
who i think might relegate are

NAC Breda, De Graafschap and possibly i throw excelsior in the mix (who also have their weak moments)

Fortuna might survive this season and that is still better than expected since they were odds favourite to be relegated at start of season

Nicky91
06-03-2019, 12:44 PM
ok my thoughts on this weekend

Fc Utrecht vs Fc Groningen on Friday

Utrecht is 6th, Groningen is 8th it's a battle for the play-offs who can get themselves on a good chance making it there

VVV Venlo vs Excelsior

i can see VVV winning here, not only home advantage but excelsior recent matches they had 30 scoring chances and all miss or saved by goalkeeper that does something negative to you mentally

PSV vs NAC Breda 1st against 18th (last place)

you never know but i expect a solid steady win for psv, but they Always have it tough against the weaker opponents especially at home

ADO Den Haag vs Heerenveen

ADO is 12th, Heerenveen is 9th also a match which is crucial for points en route to european ticket play off matches i can see Heerenveen getting the points here but it can also just end up in a draw

Willem II vs de graafschap, head 2 head relegation duel here, although willem II is the more steadier at 11th, points gap isn't big at all, so i guess they would want to just win here against graafschap

and graafschap are in the losing mood now

sundays matches

PEC Zwolle vs AZ, Zwolle is surprisingly bad this season, 15th and AZ is steady at 3th/4th place shared with Feyenoord

i say easy win for AZ

Vitesse vs Feyenoord, i like Vitesse, they got a strong team, Sloetsky is a good coach for them, Chelsea loanee goalkeeper Eduardo is a solid addition to the team

they can win but they gotta fight against Feyenoord with their star robin van persie

FC Emmen vs Heracles, Emmen isn't playing bad at all but Heracles is in a great form lately i say heracles win here

and closing the weekend are Ajax vs Fortuna

Ajax after superb win against real madrid in a good mood mentally, Fortuna wants to finally win i guess after some average or bad matches

i don't expect anything for my Fortuna here they are the underdogs against heavy favourite ajax

Nicky91
16-03-2019, 09:46 AM
important points with this solid and confident win from Fortuna over fellow danger zone candidate Emmen with 3-1

own goal from defender lukic got Fortuna at 1-0, and semedo, novakovich respectively made 2 and 3-0 and in extra time emmen scored a goal via niemeijer

Nicky91
16-03-2019, 11:29 AM

Nicky91
14-04-2019, 10:23 AM
Fortuna last night, 1 point in limburg derby vs VVV, a point is a point, a crucial point too some breathing space now with 17th and 18th spots, if psv win over de graafschap now, also a same 6 pt gap with 16th place for Fortuna

with 4 matches to be played

it wasn't bad football from Fortuna at all, with 2 suspended players (important defending players too) and we saw more of Dianessy in action (he had been injured for 7 months)

it is more exciting now for the championship ajax or psv, ajax has better papers in terms of having scored more goals, but tied at points

ajax the arrogant was this week again, they think they can easily win in Turin over juventus :fan: while juventus has been one of the strongest teams in italy for a long while now

near last competition round today :dance2:

Ajax home against fc utrecht

psv away against az alkmaar

those are the important matches for championship title, ajax and psv are equally tied at same points, ajax just at better for goals than against

my Fortuna sittard must play away against groningen, a win or a draw is good for survival, also depends what other teams below them do, i'm hoping they get no or not many points these last few rounds

de graafschap had a draw first match against cambuur, also not a great start to promote/relegation play off

Nicky91
23-05-2019, 07:29 AM

Mock, idk maybe if we do some interesting signings this summer, also who are additions for the team, i'm glad the coach is gonna do field work now (eijer left on Mutual decision bc of illness not being able to give his 100% for the club) so hofland will be assistant for whoever will be signed as head coach for next season

I wonder if you's should look at the Ajax and PSV youth squads and poach some of their players on loan.

yeah he has MS (a muscle disease) :(

going to ajax, asking to get perr schuurs back (if ajax doesn't use him anyway for their first team :oh: ) they bought him from us and never selected him for main team while we could've used him big time for our defence

RKC in a thriller away at go ahead, with a stunning 4-5 win (4-3 behind too, but equalizing and making the winner in extra time)

our new coach Ultee said ''we played as a team and that is why we won the match''

not to forget leverkusen being in champions league, so this is a good preparation en route to new season

if i could make my own Fortuna starting 11 it would look like

Goal: Koselev

Defence: Passlack, Raitanen, Dammers, Essers

Midfield: Diemers, Smeets, Carbonell, possibly Ledley or Rodriguez (depending who is signed as experienced midfielder)

attack: Dianessy, Karjalainen

subs

Goal: Jug

Defence: Ninaj, Mica, Ciranni

Midfield: Ioannidis, Ciss, Malsa, Ugur

Attack: Damascan, Dobos, Zeka

Bassala Sambou from everton, 21 yr german-english attacker, a good backup attacker and a surprise signing, since there also was interest from championship and clubs in germany

psv was awful, a 1-1 against twente

ajax was not good either, 2-2 away against Vitesse

now tonight come on Fortuna, preparation season was best out of all eredivisie teams, also new 4-4-2 strategy is a good choice, since 4-3-3 was too risky, so Ultee knows his stuff for a young coach

Nicky91
04-08-2019, 08:32 AM
i'm curious what starting 11 Ultee will come up with for this first match, lmao compared to last year, Fortuna now has a luxury problem in defence :hehe: and we sign one english left back from brighton George Cox, as a backup for our captain Mica Pinto

as for midfield, we still hunt for Joe Ledley or buying Jose Rodriguez

some fans moan about how we lost Semedo, well i'm not sad considering he wasn't that good certain important matches

Patrik Raitanen i like this addition for defence, good signing from Liverpool for us, and also loan deal with Passlack from dortmund, he's a good hard worker in defence but also moves forward along flanks which is exactly what Fortuna wants, counter attack football

Karjalainen well his first match he played was friendly against bayer leverkusen and he made that one goal in the surprising 1-0 win

but we have Sambala, Zeka, Donkor, Damascan as other good attack options

Nicky91
04-08-2019, 01:41 PM
heracles (the sensation of last year) lost at home with 0-4 against SC Heerenveen

first half against AZ was quite good from us, our defence was solid, also Koselev great goalkeeper, again shame about those 4 goals against where he couldn't be blamed for at all

yes home vs heracles could be better for us

Utrecht won after being 2-0 behind at first against ADO, and end result 2-4 :fan:

Sparta screwing up against feyenoord, from 0-1 and 1-2 leads to a 2-2 draw :hehe:

one of our football critics Johan Derksen has said, Emmen as the main relegation candidate, who really have weak football, and only just one good player in the team

Mystic Mock

I watched the highlights of the AZ vs Fortuna match and I agree with you Nicky that your team looked defensively solid until around about the 55th minute where your team started to fall apart around a 10 minute period, and then you started picking back up again afterwards which shows some promise that you could bounce back a little bit after multiple gutter punches.

I haven't seen Emmen play yet, but I have thought that they'll be in trouble before the season started.

Nicky91
07-08-2019, 01:45 PM
Diemers might go to AZ now after his mistakes i say, PLEASE accept every offer possible and sell him asap and go for ledley/rodriguez or both

Emmen well, they only have anco jansen who is good there, but as for the rest it's anti-football, not even counterattack from them :fan:

Every league plays favourites sadly, in the English Championship we get treated like dog**** by the Referees, it's blatant corruption that does need to be stamped out of the game as none of the other team sports seems to have this level of playing favourites between teams it's ridiculous.

You shouldn't want your team to get relegated though Nicky as it's been a hell of a long time since you've been back in Eredivisie, you never know how long it might take for you guys to get back up there again.

oh well i see few other teams weaker than us at the moment, and also lower than us

ADO and PEC Zwolle are only ones with all 3 matches lost, but no surprise since those teams really haven't bought anything special, and lost a few players to other teams

Well hopefully you'll get off the mark soon.

yes hope so, our team isn't that bad, just a team with many foreigners (our youth team hasn't got proper competition to play in, our assistant hofland explained, and that is why we sign players from other countries)

hope we can get that one experienced midfielder though

psv's mitroglou is a good signing for them, good attacker, very technical don't know why galatasaray didn't like him, but then again greek player in turkish competition isn't Always a success since Greece-Turkey rivalry

Nicky91
31-08-2019, 01:32 PM
Fortuna Sittard has signed

Martin Angha, who was at youth teams of Basel, and also under interest of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, AC Milan

a very experienced Swiss defender, the 25 yr old is set to be the leader of this new Fortuna

and we signed Welsh defender Cian Harries on loan from Swansea City for 1 season

VVV Venlo meanwhile has the rock solid midfielder Lee Cattermole, experienced in premier league, championship and a pain in the arse for opponents with his rough playing style, and aggressive defending

maybe, but we are now up against the 2nd foreign legion team LOL

Fortuna just has a bad competition for their youth academy, there is some good talent there but they aren't playing on the same competitive level as eredivisie so bringing them to first team would be a huge risk and that is why they sign players from some of other european competitions

twente has cantalapiedra or just aitor, he's a great attacker, but their goalie drommel is not that good so that is a advantage for us i hope
