But my big house is on a hill so cant get flooded but two of the road the the hill lead down to got flooded

It floods here all the time. Most of the city is in a special flood zone thanks to massive sprawl.

I found a really nice house when we were buying a few years back... 2 bed-room, remodeled, spacious... water pretty much all around it, shy of the street leaving the culdesac and in a well-established flood zone... my husband was like Nope, we're not paying $90,000 for a raft... sorry, Maru... it could've been elevated enough for all we knew, but we didn't want to risk it.
