All of the ones that spring to mind are from family movies, so I'll spoiler them.

Just... the saddest song in a Disney movie.

(the opening obviously gets a lot of attention and rightly so, but this scene in particular always gets me)

These two scenes are similar really but both killed me :(

And finally because this pretty much was a rock to me when my parents separated:

I watched this shortly after he died and yeah I was a complete wreck at this ending.

I can't find a video of it but it was from a 1987 movie called Project X (not the new film :p) where they were using chimps and orangutans to test how pilots would react after getting hit with radiation. And Matthew Brodricks character tries to save them, in one scene one of his favourites, an orangutans gets trapped in the room after being exposed to radiation and Matthew brodrick can't let him out because everywhere would be contaminated and it's the most heartbreaking scene ever :(

Only film thats ever made me cry was Armageddon. And its not the death scene. Its when Bruce is on the videocall thing promising he will come back when I know he won't. I don't understand why that gets me so much, but it does.

I remember watching it at the cinema and the whole audience wept, myself included. I rarely get that emotional too. People were still crying even after we had walked out of the screening room

Is this the same daughter who laughed at chickens being killed? :skull:

I rarely cry at films at all but one of them that i can't even sit through without blubbing, I had to actually stop reading the book because I couldn't even see the pages was.........*cringe* PS I Love You.........in my defense I think it was because she was the same age as me in it and I couldn't help imagining if that was Gav who died and that's one of my biggest fears

An acutely distressing filum

It really is

What I love about it is that it's so unpredictable. As a viewer, you're expecting and hoping for Jenny to have a happy ending after everything she's gone through. Only for all of that to come crashing down the second she enters that house. It makes you infuriated and disappointed, which the
the director was intending

The director knew what they were doing with the ending, which is why I respect and admire their decision to go with that ending, rather than the usual 'happy ending' It would've been cliché for one of the protagonists to survive.

Also, the fact that we don't know what they have in store for her makes the ending even better. We can all assume they killed her then and there in the bathroom, but who knows? They may have tortured her even more. The parents may have been just as sadistic as their children

Why did Amanda's death make you feel sad, Cal and Glenn?

I felt like she was the victim in it all. She was damaged and had a lot of issues and was completely betrayed by the only person she cared about (John) by him putting her through another test. The fact that she was set up by Hoffman and he engineered her death knowing Jeff would kill her is even more devastating.

It's been a while since I watched the Saw films but I do remember thinking she was the victim as well at the time. Hoffman was such a dick, possibly my least favourite character

I loved Amanda. She was my third fav after Jigsaw and Dr Gordon

God I miss the Saw franchise

The end of Gladiator is beautifully sad.

What made it worse was when it was on Gogglebox and Leon (RIP) and June were crying watching it and Leon said "I hope when I go that's what it's like, and I'd be waiting for you in Heaven" or something along those lines. Omg :skull:
