who is going to the most important tennis tournament of the year in the UK

favourites to win

with the men: i think Roger Federer has a good chance at winning wimbledon

with the women: Johanna Konta (the uk's own) she's a grass specialist i see her as a fave here, but also Simona Halep (after winning RG) and Garbine Muguruza are the faves for me

Sadly it looks like Konta's brief flirtation with being a top player is over, think she'll be a second round casualty

yes and Muguruza has like 2.000 points to defend which is really difficult i think

same for Venus having 1.300 points to defend

Wozniacki is playing weak since she had won australian open

Halep well she withdrew from eastbourne due to not fully 100% fit, maybe a smart decision to try and come 100% fit to wimbledon, and who knows what she can do here, grass isn't her specialty but we know she is a hard working player

Not my Konta.:bawling:

Being serious though I think that Federer will win the Men's again, and I never rule out either of the Williams sisters.

A real impressive performance for Van Uytvanck taking out Muguruza

I've had absolutely no interest for Wimbledon while the World cup is on. I haven't watched a single shot yet this year.

I lost Konta, Halep, and Wozniacki for the women's, and now it looks like I might lose Djokovic for the men's.

All I can say is come on Federer and Serena at this point until knowing how Edmund and Djokovic plays out.

I know that this might sound paranoid, but I do think that there was something dodgy about that Anderson victory, Federer dominated the first set, yet played nothing like that for the rest of the game, he admittedly goes two sets up at Wimbledon against a much weaker player, yet he apparently couldn't beat him in one of the next 3 sets on a surface that he is renowned for being so impressive on? He also did alot of shots that were very unlike Federer to put it kindly.

Maybe it was an injury tbf, but either way that was the most suspicious game at this Wimbledon imo.

Insane match

Feel bad for Isner, must be tough playing for that long and losing in the end

I was exhausted just watching that. Anderson has had 2 long matches, wonder if it will affect him in the final?

Anderson and Isner both did very well there.

Respect to them both.

Is it really that entertaining though, just two huge servers who hold every game. I'd have been getting fed up in the crowd and just wanting Nadal-Djokovic to start, now it looks like those with ladies finals tickets get to watch the conclusion of the best semi

Tbh it wasn't the most fun match to watch, but I do respect the determination from both players.

Sad Serena lost but she only started playing tennis again a few months ago reaching the final is a huge achievement :clap1:
