How often do you go to the beach? (Weather permitting obviously)

I love the beach and go to them any chance we get, we've been there since around 11am this morning but leaving now.

Infact I love any where where there is water, beaches, lochs, canals etc I jut love them all :amazed:

Love the beach, we have a place in Spain that overlooks the sea and you can hear the waves crash onto the beach from the terrace, I love the sound of waves and also the moon on water :flutter: I eventually want to live near a beach in Ireland and divide my time between there and Spain

If you are counting those beaches with just sand and water, and not “touristy”, once every month.

For those tourist beaches, maybe once every few months because the weather can get unbearingly hot here...

It kinda loses its allure when you live in a touristy, seaside town :(

Yeah, I guess it's just not a novelty to me any more and the impracticality of getting sand everywhere on your body isn't worth it when a perfectly nice park will do  Also can't stand the smell of seaweed that's washed ashore.

Don't get me wrong, they look lovely, but especially with Torbay they're basically just a trap for tourists to come along, and then get a horrible surprise when they see our nightmare of a housing plan, crazy teenage pregnancy rates, Spice addicts and a dying high street because of ridiculous rent prices (thanks to wealthy retirees buying up all the nice areas) :/

Love the seaside, we tended to go a lot in years gone by as we are local to the coast and most of hubbys family live there.
Still go quite often now, but not on to the actual beach.
Best fish and chips are on the coast.

Only when it’s really hot. Like Shaun said, when you live by a beach it loses the novelty a little.

That seem odd to me if you live by the beach I would think you would go more in the summer when the weather nice at least

I live right on the beach so I walk along there quite a bit, I never tire of the view and it's great for the kids especially when the weather is like this (which doesn't happen very often)

I like a beach for walking, getting shells etc and paddling

BUT NOT FOR SITTING ON A BLOODY TOWEL LIKE A PLONKER STARTING AT THE SUN

id like to be by a beach with high powered binoculars and a handgun and spy on dog walkers - if i spied on letting their dog sh1t without clearing it up i would march up to them and shoot one of their toes clean off.

In fact I would have a sign made

FAILURE TO CLEAN UP YOUR DOG SH1T WILL RESULT IN ONE OF YOUR TOES BEING SHOT OFF WITH A HAND GUN. NO IFS, NO BUTS.

I am pretty sure after a couple of digit executions I would have a clean beach

i live 15 minutes from a beautiful sandy beach, but we rarely go, because although there are plenty warm days the sea never really warms up enough for it to be pleasant like the med. Also, i'm really not a fan of swimming in sewage

The beach near us is mostly rocky although there's one nice sandy part. I prefer sitting outside in the garden looking out at the water rather than sitting out on the beach though, I can't even remember the last time I swam in the sea in Ireland, the kids do though

I love the Ocean, and water in general , love to swim, We go to the beach as often as possible, but I like the secluded coves best ,I don't like sunbathing so I spend most of my time in the water or making sandcastles with the kids.
