10 new episodes.
lucky staff,

[Roseanne Barr, a 65-year-old supporter of US President Donald Trump,
was dropped earlier this month after a racist rant.
The new show - The Conners - will debut with 10 episodes in the autumn
and features many actors from the Roseanne show, including John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf and Sara Gilbert.]

Everyone online has been saying how this is sticking it to and punishment for Barr, when in reality as the creator of the show/the Connor family of character she's going to get paid for this regardless.

Good for the staff who would otherwise have been out of work thanks to one racist arse, but at the same time, those are the same staff who decided to work with, and hence give a platform to, a known racist in the first place

So yeah I'll give it a miss

They've managed to get her to waiver any money she might get from the spin-off/use of her characters, I believe

They probably already had the main cast tied into contracts for a second Roseanne season so rather than pay them all off for doing nothing, they're giving this a go.

Yeah, they had to pay them whether they made another season or not, so really they're just getting their money's worth out of Laurie Metcalf
