[Saudi Arabia was the only country in the world where women were banned from driving.
The lifting of the ban is part of a programme to modernise some aspects of Saudi society
under the Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.]

It is a bit sad though in this day and age that they've only just gotten that right now......it's a start though I suppose

The new boss seems willing to make changes to grant more equality, but it's very much an up hill struggle. He has to be careful with the pace of change or he will end up out on his ass.

Already knew before clicking on the thread that there'd be some 'jokes'.

To know that there are still many more countries that still view women and homosexuals as second best is sad, to say the least. But hopefully the snowball effect will take care of those.

I'm not discussing it with you Arista. I just don't get why you always have to demand respect for even the most idiotic of laws only because it is a law somewhere.
Law is subject to change and all unjust laws should be changed, not supported or respected. Racial discrimination was a law, persecution of Jews was a law.
Don't you see?

note to self: reconsider going back to lurking, oh and up the meds

Yes your views are valid

trades with our nation

That is above your valid viewpoint
