What should he do?
Should he go home to see the kid being born or take us to world cup glory?
Think she’s due on July 15th

Than his child? pfft
Ye won't get to the final anyway so he won't have to choose :fan:

What Niamh said tbh he won't even have to choose.
If he had to though then World Cup glory is obviously more important.:hehe:

The game is more important. Births are a medical procedure for the woman

I doubt he's even thinking about the child.

Yeah i think he has a responsibility to his country tbh.He can always have another kid.He might only get one shot at the WC.
there was a player in another team whose wife gave birth and they chartered a plane home for him so he could see the kid and be back for the next game
There are plenty days in between games, so its no big deal

It's his duty as a father to at least attempt to see his child between games. But like others have said, England will be done by the end of next week anyway so I doubt he'd have to worry.

Kane and missing just don't go together.
Courtois wants to be prepared for conceding against him tonight.

England will get knocked out in the first round or the knock outs, so he will have plenty of time to get home.

If England win the World Cup his son must get use to life in the cabinet as it will be the medal he pushes around town in the pram
He's representing his country in battle, he can't just pop home.
Ashley.

Anyway, he's done his little bit now, nothing more he can do.

I'm sure its something he and his Mrs have discussed given they knew the timing. Chances are he'll be there anyway....

This to be honest too....I would have rather been on my own when I had my son, everyone in the room got right on my nerves....had his dad moaning he was knackered and my mum telling me off for swearing

Wow. You seem shocked. How many World cup finals have great players like David Beckham played in? None. Got four kids though. I wonder if he'd have given up being at one of those kids births to have played in a World Cup final? I bet if you asked him this, he'd thinks long and hard before answering. This is the reason why footballers become footballers so I'm surprised anyone is surprised by my response. World Cup final is not just another football match.
Ship the wife to russia, but the child needs squeezed out in the british embassy...
