also nice for their coach, Tabarez who now has crutches, muscle disease he has but it doesn't stop him from coaching the team he loves
i have respect for him, he was there at 1990 world cup coaching Uruguay, and also 2006, 2010, 2014 and now 2018 world cups :clap1:
i want Belgium to win because they have the talent and yet have been serial under achievers, but anyone winning other than England would be an acceptable outcome
i mean, the BBC have already produced this video :umm2:

It was a rhetorical question. My father was English, lived in England for 15 years but I'm always considered foreign.

No,they played dirty, fact, did you watch it?
The colombians do what they do, we have to remember the circumstances they are living in. I remember a few world cups ago when A colombian defender scored an own goal. He was shot dead by an angry fan on his return back from the tournament.

They did, Kaz. Anyone who thinks they didn't surely didn't watch the game.
When I was a kid I used to support all the home teams... naively. When I was older I realised the bad blood, the niggling comments and anti-English sentiment that came our way... whatever. We don't need the support of people who are so small minded, they hang on to sh1t from centuries ago as an excuse not to support a neighbour.

I didn't watch last nights game, infact I haven't watched any of them, however..it seems pretty much everyone is in agreement that yesterday the other team played really dirty. And apparently our goalie was absolutely fantastic? But yeah, I am English and don't really support anyone as I am not a football person, but it would be nice to see England win. My mother is actually watching it all this year and she hates football..she said shes watching as our team have been totally switched up and its now basically a bunch of younger players who noone has heard of really..is that right? She says she wants them to win because it would shut people up about how brilliant the likes of Shearer are  I don't think it would, but yeah.

What actually happened? There were loads of people saying something should have been a red card and it was a dodgy ref. Now people tend to say this all of the time, but so many said it that I think it may have been right..
And when Gavin was checking the score, it seemed both England and Columbia had 3 yellow cards each..sounds like an interesting game

they weren't ashamed, i saw some of their reactions on the news
penalty's are a lottery which could go either way, so they were proud of their team getting extra time and penalty shootout out of this
and Gareth's strategy worked, to train on these penalty shootout scenario's more :clap2:

One of them head butted Jordan henderson, how he didn't get a straight red for that I don't know, then when England got a penalty another time, it was a blatant penalty, the whole Colombian team stood arguing with ref for ages while kicking up the ground in the penalty spot to try and make to harder to score the penalty and just countless other fouls really. There's video of the head butt here :

The Colombians throughout the game used violent conduct against our players, intimidation and aggression towards the ref. They got a lucky last minute goal but should have been down to 10 men! The right team won

Thats ****ing ridiculous. Even from just that, and as someone who does not watch football, I can tell the ref was seriously dodgy! Colombia were playing dirty tactics, but it almost worked as it clearly rattled the English players.
Not acceptable, but quite an efficient tactic.

England has not been properly tested yet imo.
the colombian only brushed him with his head, it was hardly a forceful headbutt . Also the england player went down on the ground clutching his forehead, where the only contact was on his chin

However it was clearly on purpose. So should have been a red.
But LOL at clutching his forehead when it was also clearly his chin!

btw belgian commentator was right about some english players not living up to their standards, John Stones he is amazing at Liverpool with Wijnaldum and first with Coutinho they called him the star of the midfield there, but here at england he is just underwhelming and just decent
and belgian commentators were next to colombian commentators (former international faryd mondragon among the commentary for Colombia) and they were screaming after it got to penalty's

I don't watch football, but all I hear about is how ungrateful, whiny and arrogant are all the major teams, so I hope a decent underdog wins it in the end. Something along the lines of two small neighbourless countries making the top 2 of Eurovision 2019 while Russia and co not even qualifying.
