Yup, it's just Trump blowing smoke out of his sizeable arse because he can't stand the fact that most of the country is opposed to his visit.

The Prime Minister said there was “much for us to discuss”.
But she insisted: "We’ll be talking positively on how we can work together in our special relationship for the good of people living in the UK and the United States and actually for the wider good."

ok this seems good news i think as for the relationship between UK and United States

Most are not though are they. Evidence of such a bizarre statement would be appropriate.

There was opposition at the time of those polls and it will only have increased after the Mexican fiasco. However, I don't think we should turn world leaders away, but we should make clear to them when we find their actions unacceptable, and if that requires protest .... so be it. Still not a fan of the balloon though

i think the fact that 100's of thousands are due to hit the streets in protest is an indication that there is opposition to Trump

The 'majority' of one or two hundred people participating in a poll in The Morning Star or The Guardian is one thing, the 'majority' in a country of 66 million people is quite another.

I'll not hold my breath while I await REAL proof of yet another reaching lie.

no it's not, but it's still a sizeable protest and it will get a message across. What the reaction will be .... who knows

Kirk, it was a proper poll, done by a polling company

tbf, Britain is not alone in this, Trump is unpopular almost everywhere, iirc only Israel and Russia gave him favourable ratings

All polls are based on sample size, you can't discount one on that basis unless you are willing to discount them all.

now waiting for proof of your assertion that anti-Trump demonstrations don't prove his unpopularity

According to YouGov’s polling, 11 percent of Britons believe Trump is a great or good president. But 67 percent, a vast majority, believe he is a poor or terrible president.
