I never know and im not a fighter so i just avoid saying it haha. Also i hate them so that helps with the whole ‘avoid saying it’ thing. Id consider them both correct, im sure ive used them both before and have been told off both times.

...yeah totally, it was an instant thing really to try to rhyme them...and it was easy as well because La Toya’s gone rhymes with scone....
...I’m a scone person though...an own a scone rhyming person...

scone with a long o, most words that have o-[insert letter]-e have the long o sound (bone, phone, home, alone, toner, grove, open)
There are a couple of exceptions (gone, done, love) but I think the long-o has a better argument.
