Hmmm, always take long range forecasting with a pinch of salt, wouldn’t be surprised if we had a couple more weeks of hot weather, but wouldn’t bank on 6

The Express is the LAST place that should be trusted to provide weather forecasts

Even LT would agree with me on that

It originates from the BBC though.

They've sensationalised a long range forecast and are derided by most meteorologists, avoid at all costs

Me too.

One of the best things I ever bought are cold pillows. They are plastic and you keep them in the fridge. At bedtime slip in the pillowcase on top of your pillow. It's bliss I sleep like a baby. If you are feeling really indulgent get one for your feet as well!

I dont ever listen to the express, releasing weather reports with titles such as 'acid rain' 'thunder snow' and so on was the last straw tbh

I do think we will get more nice weather though. I just wish it would be broken down a bit, so that instead of it being 25 and stuffy as **** for a week, we get a day or two inbetween it all where its just refreshing. That, or that we get ****ing air and a breeze while the sun is there, but heat in this country is crap because of this.

Nicky91

i think we might get a thunderstorm as soon as we get like 3 days of 34/35C in a row, it usually comes after a very hot day

but for me i only dislike the very humid heat, i've also experienced dryer heat and that isn't so bad honestly

but when it's so humid you immediately sweat a lot, which is so uncomfortable

Sounds good to me. Another six weeks - can’t believe it. :hee:

Don't the Express get all their long-range weather forecasts from the Exacta Weather guy or WeatherAction ie. Piers Corbyn (Jeremy Corbyn's brother)?

The thunderstorms prediction comes from the Met Office - so that part of it is pretty reliable.

So far looking positive and correct as far as the continued hot weather is concerned.

I must admit I'm kind of sick of the gnat bites already. Got a gaggle of them on my legs and feet and the itching is driving me crazy. It's well hidden at the moment but at some point I'll find a very fat gnat in my bedroom and bring on his doom. :fist:

Might need to get one of those!

Put them in the fridge a couple of hours before bed. Some of the reviews claim it moves around but I don't find that. I put it in the pillow case on top of the pillow and it's lovely. I keep mine in the fridge when not in use. It does feel less cold as the night goes on but if you have a couple of them you can swap them in the night if you feel you need to. For me it helps me fall asleep and that's much better than laying awake trying to sleep.
