View Full Version : When you sleep, what are your must-haves?
Eddie.

Basically anything you must have before you go to bed, giving you a good night’s sleep...
For me, I need the aircon set to around 24 degrees Celsius, a glass of warm milk, a pillow, bolster and a blanket...
Though if I really can’t sleep, I often resort to ASMR on YouTube, or relaxing music playing in the background, sometimes both...
2 spliffs..no poll needed...i know....bad me..but heyo.

the only thing i can think of is that (and i know this might sound really pretentious) i can’t sleep on just one pillow. has to be two, with one on top of the other :hee:

I used to be like that, but now i use one, and put the other between my knees cause it bothers me if i can feel my knees touching eachother...

in the summer, window open and only my feet under my bedsheet
it's usually around 23/24C thanks to my airconditioning, so quite comfortable for me to sleep
in the winter, i keep the window closed, heater off (otherwise i get a too dry throat), and sometimes i make it completely dark, just to prevent cold coming in

Fan on in the summer.
Telly at the ready for my cat nap nights.
Can't stand the bedroom above 15 degrees so normally have the heating off in the bedroom.
Cola on the bedside table and that's me set.

I don't understand you. Why are you putting air conditioning AND your window open? What do you think the purpose of it is?

er I dont think you would have an aircon room at 24 C:shrug:
most bedrooms in the summer will be 17 or 18 C unless you live in the tropics
a room at 24 C would be stifling

White noise. Preferably a desk fan, but if I'm away from home I have a white noise app on my phone :joker:.

I like to read a book. Last night I read about the horrors of Buchenwald. The TL asked what I was reading and I told her that one New Years day there because the Nazi officers had a party and slept all day the prisoners had to stand out in roll call all day till 5pm when the guards finally got up. 158 people died due to this selfish act. I does not keep me up, it sometimes affects my dreams but in general a book about history before I sleep, a little classic fm, a window open and total darkness.

In summer : bottle of cold water, cold pillow, industrial fan, no covering, tablet/book.
In winter : bottle of cold water, duvet, Mr Jaxie for my cold feet, tablet/book.
I like half an hour read before bed, it relaxes me into sleep.
Retainers in
Glass of water on bedside table
Telly on
Fan on
Dog at bottom of bed!

For a decent sleep...like 2500mg pregablin, some morphine and maybe 100mg amitryptaline D:
Thats not every night though, only when I am really really tired and need to sleep through the pain
God I sound like a 90 year old
I tend to go to sleep while watching something also, and always have a bottle of water next to my bed.
Thinking of starting smoking weed though, instead of taking all of that medication. Its surely better for me.
