The tourist, who was visiting a popular whale-watching clifftop, is the second person to fall and die from there in recent weeks.]
[The 18-year-old tourist was taking selfies with friends at Cape Solander, south of Sydney, when he lost his balance on slippery rocks, it is believed.
He plunged 10 metres (32.8ft) into the sea below, police said.]

This happened when i was at kings canyon in NT, it was horrible, she screamed for 3 hours before she died, too far from alice springs for the helicopter to get there in time.

Don't think most people think like that even the jokers, kids make mistakes, he was 18 who didn't make a mistake at that age, the good news is most of us survive to tell the tale

18 year old does something a bit dangerous because they think they're immortal is hardly a new or unusual phenomenon though, it's been happening since the beginning of time but as Cherie said luckily most times they survive. I have an 18 year old, I'd be pretty upset if someone made comments like some of the ones in here if she'd died

I know people cant be held responsible for their words if they upset other people especially if people dont know certain things about certain members..im sure certain words or things ive said will have upset people because of what they have been or are going through...if i had knew i would never have said certain things....


but this darwin thingg, the web site....i will mtry and explain why it annoys me.

some of you will know i lost my son....at 16.

he died from taking legal highs, him and 4 mates in a room, all turned unwell but only he didnt pull through..


so guess what, he ended up on this stupid deaths website...my son, being called stupid by a load of sneering strangers who knew eff all about him....


But please, LT...dont think im angry at you or anyone else about this cause im not...people cant pussy foot around others, but they can stop and think a little about the parents of these kids.

aw keep your head up Parmy anyway :hug:, i don't think your son had a stupid death, was there carbonmonoxide involved, cause that can make people get unwell, and you wouldn't notice it, cause you can't smell carbonmonoxide

Oh wow, how awful Parmnion, like it isn't bad enough to lose a child. But yeah this is what I mean imagine mocking a childs death because they did something silly that turned bad........like probably most teenagers have done at some point.

now also a 17 year old guy Koen, at garda lake in italy, he just went one bus stop further to assist one girl getting safely home to the camping resort she had been staying at and then Koen slipped, and fell into a small stream, broke his ankle and face down unconscious and he drowned :(

which is also a ''silly'' accident to call for some, but i just feel sad for him just being a good samaritan bringing a girl home and then having a fatal accident, i cried when it was confirmed that it was him
