Faded presenter Davina McCall has branded comments about her figure 'thin-shaming' after almost 4,000 people berated her over a picture of her in a bikini.

The faded television presenter was accused of setting a bad example for young women after uploading the shot of her emaciated figure to Instagram.

She said it was 'interesting' how a population that is 'becoming more sedentary' is open to thin-shaming but frowns on fat-shaming.

It comes after she sparked concern by sharing her first bikini snap of the summer last month, dividing fans.

The mother-of-three said that her latest birthday came with fears that she would become 'dried up, a little bit broken, irrelevant'.

But she says that she was filled with pride when she realised she could still wear a bikini and so decided to share the snap.

I'm all for body positivity and that's fantastic but there is I would say a degree of responsibility that comes with being in the public eye and especially in the sphere of healthy living and exercise because that is such a minefield as everyones perception f 'healthy' is different.
Personally I wouldn't say those pics are in my opinion of someone who I would consider healthy, the jutting bone and the loose skin is potentially dangerous for someone who would view that as an achievable goal in order to be 'healthy'.

It's also important to remember that Davina is an addict an as such has the potential to become addicted to not only substances but routines and like any addict there will be denial, redirection and attacks at anything that suggest this is something that might need addressing.

Mind I do ****ing hate how much criticism female celebs get over their looks. Every damn thing seems up for criticism, where male celebs tend to get off with it. Yeah someone may say they look a bit porky or something, but they don't get the 'tits 10/10, bum 2/10, legs 3/10, face 0/10 etc' type treatment. Along with headlines of 'X puts on 3 pounds, come see some pap shots taken of her from outside her hotel room when she thought she was alone and judge!'

...as Mokka said, she looks fit, she looks great..:lovedup:...she has amazing definition in her abs and her arms, legs etc don’t look too skinny...I’ve known lots of people who have gone through marriage breakups or huge life changes who have put lots of focus into their health/fitness regime as a way of focusing into something positive and healthy...it’s not really uncommon...I think Davina has said that she has an addictive personality so that’s something she needs to keep in her sights as well in the ‘too far’ thing...but she seems to have a control and balance as well, she juggled those career, family, fitness balls for many years...looking good atm, Davina..:love:...
