So this is to find out what the forums favourite British Sitcom is.

There will be 6 heats, the top 2 in each heat will go straight through to the grand final.

The third placed finishers of each will go into a semi-final, and the winner of that will also go through to the grand final.

The heats will be made up of the decades in which the sitcoms began. 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.

I shall post a poll with the names of up to 25 sitcoms, you just have to choose your favourite, you get one choice, so choose wisely.

The deadline for votes in the heats will be at the end of August.

So this is getting harder now for some of our younger members, I'm sure there is still some in this decade which you're familiar with though.

What's your favourite sitcom? make your one vote count.

Alf maybe three votes per person? No, I like being mean. It's much tougher with only one choice and it's more fair that we only get one vote each.

Niamh will vote for Father Ted and she'll tell me it's not British.

Hha I did wonder!

Got around to watching it yet?Not yet. I've just finished watching "It Ain't Half Hot Mum" and I'm also currently watching "Friday Night Dinner" which everyone has been praising lately.

I just bought "The Thin Blue Line" the other day and that's next on my agenda.

I think you can get all of "Jeeves and Wooster" on Youtube, so I'll probably start watching on there soon.

This looks like the most popular decade. 33 votes in here so far, only 11 votes so far in the 60s heat.

Hopefully we'll get some more members on the forum as Big Brother begins, to vote in this.

The Irish Father Ted obviously :idc:

(you can keep Mrs Brown from the 10's though)

I've just realised I forgot one of the most universally known sitcoms (and it is a sitcom) Mr Bean

Would Mr Bean have received enough votes in this?
