If someone called me it in person it would, but that joke was so ****ing bad it offended me

It was ****, i will give you that....
Can i throw a scenario at you?....i know if someone just randomly spat the word in your face...well i would punch them for you if i was there....
But what if you had just met some random bloke on your travels, and you are talking away for an hour....or so...
He then cracks a similar joke, would that really offend you?

If he was genuinely mocking gays then I hope he gets the punishment he deserves. Money shouldn't excuse hate

Not guilty.
 Another great example of our 2 tier British justice system - how fortunate for the exonerated man that he was not; 'Ben Stokes' unemployed labourer from a council estate.

To be fair the other two guys involved were also found not guilty and there was nothing famous about them

I agree,I feel money has changed hands.
given all the evidence given at the trial, i'm struggling to see how the verdict was not guilty
Affray:
(1) A person is guilty of affray if he uses or threatens unlawful violence towards another and his conduct is such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety.
(2) Where 2 or more persons use or threaten the unlawful violence, it is the conduct of them taken together that must be considered for the purposes of subsection (1).
(3) For the purposes of this section a threat cannot be made by the use of words alone.
(4) No person of reasonable firmness need actually be, or be likely to be, present at the scene.
(5) Affray may be committed in private as well as in public places.
