Well, here in the States for the first 2 or 3 series of the revival; Doctor Who was broadcast on Friday nights (because Doctor Who was shown on Syfy at the time, not BBC America).

Nope. Saturday tea time has always been the spot for DW since 1963 (excluding some of McCoy's era)...
We are NOT having Counryfile replaced by DW

It doesn't work on Saturday nights nowadays (scheduling it around Strictly means having to air it at either 5.30 or 8.30, neither of which feel right), so I'd much prefer it to move to Sundays

8;30 is fine, it can jump straight into Casualty

That's a disastrous timeslot because it prevents children (and thus families... hint hint, it's a family show) from watching, and they're much less likely to catch up as a result
