CELEBRITY Big Brother bosses have been left devastated after naming the show after Stormy Daniels – only for her to quit before it even kicked off.
Earlier today we reported that the former porn star, who is linked to Donald Trump, sensationally quit just minutes before the live show kicked off last night throwing everything into chaos.
Now we can reveal that Stormy, 39, was in fact the whole driving force behind this year’s ‘Eye of the Storm’ theme.
Channel 5 bosses had hinged the whole series on her and splashed out a record breaking figure to secure her place as she was set to be the most controversial housemate ever - but have now been left in the lurch by her shock decision.
An TV insider told The Sun Online: “Bosses are truly devastated that Stormy has pulled out at the last minute.
“Ever since the scandal broke between her and Trump they were desperate to sign her and couldn’t have been happier when she agreed – knowing it would make the series – so much so they decided to hook the whole series on her.
“The series was billed as being full of people ‘caught up in their own media storm’ and there is no one who has had a bigger storm than her this year thanks claiming to have slept with the US President.
“They went above and beyond to offer her hundreds of thousands, even considering splashing out an extra £100k at the last minute, to bring her fee up to £850k.”
They continued: “She really was the biggest name on the billing, some of the other people taking part aren’t really considered real celebrities and others are just soap stars.
“Stormy was really going to bring the Storm and now they’ve been left with just a light wind at best!”
Earlier today we broke the news that Stormy landed in London on Thursday afternoon and had a furious bust up with producers before pulling out and refusing to leave the hotel she’d been put up in.
She fell out with CBB staff and said she'd only go in if they gave her an extra £100,000 on top of her record £750,00. She was due to be paid the massive fee for just a week on the show.
CBB refused to stump up the extra cash so Stormy, real name Stephanie Clifford, angrily told producers she wouldn’t go in, despite flying 4,900 miles from her home in Texas to appear on the show.
