View Full Version : Hardeep Singh Kohli Funny or not?
Are you finding Hardeep to be funny so far?
I have laughed at a couple of things from him tbh, loved the way he took the piss out of Dan the first night too.
He will never be as funny as his brother though
Matthew.

I agree that he’s not as funny as his brother but I like him a lot, would consider him in my top 3 so far and think he’s a howl. He’s such an underrated housemate
Jake.

Kinda. The “DANNNN” thing wasn’t funny though.

No he's not dry enough for me
Matthew.

He tries to hard to the point where it's nauseating so NO ! :bored:

I'd say more amusing than outright funny, when he's not trying too hard.
He gets a "hah" reaction, rather than true laughter.

I don't find stand up comedians funny ever, I do find him likable however

He’s annoying me. Don’t find him funny at all really.

I agreed with him against Natalie but then went off his arrogant Scottish rant.
As for funny, not really, he gets verbally aggressive and it is uncomfortable viewing.

Who’s his brother?
I actually warmed to him tonight and felt I could see where he was coming from a bit more. He does maybe have that issue where he’s slightly unaware of boundaries and personal space but I don’t think he’s especially malicious. It’s early days but I was certainly more on his side than Natalie’s.

Oh yeah I know the guy. I had no idea they were brothers. I wonder what his thoughts are

I want to find him funny but I think he tries a bit too hard, some things he says are amusing though
I actually think he's going to be unintentionally funnier to watch as a messy, irritating character when they're all fed up of him

Loving him at the moment.

I love him.
He's got that dry, sardonic sense of humour typical of so many Glaswegians - reminds me of home.

He has made me laugh at times....but I would imagine he would be hard to live with 24/7.... I think he's harmless but I can see him overstepping the mark at some point. He dealt with Natalie well...stupid bitch.

I find him really funny most of the time, the whole "dan dan dan dan DANDAN DAN DAN DAN!!" thing was SO annoying though

I find him kinda funny, yeah. The "shouting Dan" thing was annoying but otherwise he seems fun and quite nice.

Hes ok ish but he has brought race and scotland into it several times now. He has political ambitions so maybe we have a storm brewing
Nope don't find him funny at all, in fact I find him a bit of a patronising prick
...yeah I’m finding him a bit patronising as well, Cherie...explaining about satire to Natalie...this is the humour of us Brits, don’t you know../..type thing...well no it isn’t...like any other humour type, it’s an individual thing...some UK people like satire and equally some don’t...so extremely patronising I feel...also that whole wall task and the presidency task has been geared up very ‘Trump-like’ so very American..?...so then don’t do that and then start talking about satire and British humour...let the American housemates decide what vein they will take it in...let all housemates decide individually...it’s not for you to explain, Hardeep...Americans have lived and breathed Trump and for some it’s a nightmare that isn’t ending...so if they don’t find things like the wall task funny, it’s completely understandable as well...

Sally brought up the Scotland thing when he was talking about the voting system(s) being skewed (in favour of the SNP and against UKIP)
As for race.... Natalie was the instigator in the Uber thing. He asked her how she got a reputation for being a "Bad Girl" and she turned it into an argument out of nowhere  claiming his joke ("If I need a job as a security guard after this, do you think this is gonna work well for me? I'm not even gonna get that Uber job I was looking for. [Indian accent] Hello? Uber Driver?") was offensive. :conf2:

He's somewhat amusing but I just sort of like him in general rather than for being funny. I want it to be him vs. the house, or at least see him involved in a bunch of arguments and what not... I think he can be HILARIOUS in that role. :joker:
The DAN DAN DAN DAN DAN thing wasn't all that funny or anything but it reminded me of Family Guy  (not sure if he was referencing that?)

Not the slightest bit funny, and hes wearing on people now..... I would have thrown a pan at him when he was stood shouting Dan last night, hes ignorant and hes very rude
Jessica.

He's trying way too hard, I don't like it..
He is loud and overbearing...fantastic...if it winds everyone else up then i salute him....

I think Hardeep thinks because he can poke fun at other ethnic minorities because he is part of their culture. Cannot they laugh at themselves without it being racist, this reminds me of the Goodness, gracious me programmed which did exactly that.
Natalie hasn't the intelligence to understand this type of humour, Hardeep did try to explain it to her but she just banged on regardless of her own limitations on how humour is different in other parts of the world.
I don't find him funny, but I also don't find him unfunny?
I don't know, I just can't think of an instance where I feel like he was trying to be funny  (although the Dan bit was a tad funny)
