They look like scones, but they're not.

They aren't the same in North America. I bake both of them often. I'll throw a cheeky batch of biscuits in the oven when I'm making chilli or soup. They are denser and are closer to a bun without leavening. Scones can be sweet or savoury and are fluffier mostly because you mix them less add more butter and buttermilk and baking soda and powder.

If you've never tried them both... You can't claim they are the same :hee:

Cobbler, scones made with flour, water and suet, for a topping on a savoury meat casserole, tuna casserole etc,or add sugar for a fruit cobbler.
Scones, butter instead of suet.

Also, by the looks of it, the gravy isn't the same "gravy" many are thinking of either.

I was imagining a bunch of digestives in gravy and i was honestly considering it with cheese.

It would be messy, but like. I think I’m keen?

Scones and gravy is obviously absurd though. Scones are far too sweet.

Oh yeah Cobbler i remember that from school dinners - i always thought you could actually cobble roads with em ! never even tasted it actually cos it looked so foul , rather starve than have stodgy war food.
