No details yet

British couple have died on a Thomas Cook holiday in Egypt.
It is not yet clear how they died and investigations are ongoing. One was a Thomas Cook employee at the Burnley branch of the travel agent.
MailOnline understands the pair were staying at a Thomas Cook hotel in the Red Sea resort town of Hurghada.
Thomas Cook said in a statement: 'We are deeply saddened by the deaths of two of our customers while on holiday in Hurghada in Egypt, one of whom was a loyal and long-serving member of our Thomas Cook family.

This is quite unbelievable, it can't be a coincidence that they both died, I feel so sorry for their daughter and kids who are on holiday with them

A British couple who died on holiday in Egypt suffered heart and respiratory failure, local authorities have said.

John Cooper, 69, and his wife Susan, 63, from Burnley, were staying at the Steigenberger Aqua Magic in the Red Sea resort of Hurghada.

The Red Sea governorate said medical checks by a health inspector revealed "no criminal suspicions".

The couple's daughter, who was also staying at the hotel, said her parents had been "fit and healthy".

Thomas Cook said it was removing all its customers from the Steigenberger Aqua Magic as a "precautionary measure".

In a statement, authorities in Egypt said Mr Cooper died in his hotel room at 11:00 local time on Tuesday.

He had suffered a "sharp drop in blood circulation and a sudden stop in the heart muscle", and his cause of death was listed as "sudden failure in the heart muscle and respiratory failure".

Mrs Cooper was taken to hospital five hours later in a "state of fainting" and, although heart recovery work took place for 30 minutes, she died at 17:12.

The authorities said her cause of death was a "drop of blood circulation and respiratory functions".

'Died in front of me'
The couple's daughter Kelly Ormerod, who was staying in the Steigenberger Aqua Magic with her three children, said in a statement to Lancashire-based radio station 2BR: "They had no health problems at all.

"We have no cause of death, a post-mortem is under way.

A girl i know went with went to school with the daughter and has her on FB and there is a lot more to this than they are reporting according to the daughter. She has not gone into detail but has said she has made some pretty strong accusations and it is NOT natural causes as far as she is concerned.

I can't see how it could be, I mean they were saying the wife died of 'grief', dear me ...how likely is that..

The Egyptians rely heavily on tourism... the last thing they want is a scandal so they're saying it's natural causes. Bullsheeeeet. If I was the couple's daughter I would want their bodies back on the next plane so they can be examined by pathologists who aren't going to lie. Although I wouldn't be at all surprised if the bodies go missing in an "innocent mix-up".

'High level of e-coli' at Egyptian hotel where Britons died

https://news.sky.com/story/high-level-of-e-coli-at-egyptian-hotel-where-britons-died-11491012

Good job they got all the others out.

[Thomas Cook says a "high level of e-coli and staphylococcus bacteria"
has been found at an Egypt hotel where two Britons died.
The travel company commissioned specialists to examine the
Steigenberger Aqua Magic Hotel in Hurghada after the
unexplained deaths of John and Susan Cooper last month.
The tests showed normal carbon monoxide levels near the couple's room
and normal levels of chlorine in the swimming pool.]

They died of carbon monoxide poisoning, the bedroom next door was fumingated for bed bugs, and whatever they mixed the pesticide with created carbon monoxide.

They were poisoned as they slept

Horrific for the family
