I just came across Heavy D on Twitter and I was just thinking... what do contestants like Heavy D that don't have an obvious career do after the show?

I don't think CBB is good for future career prospects and I can't imagine them getting a normal job or even getting accepted for one. I can't even imagine them being asked to do PR's in clubs so does anyone know? :joker::joker:

Soap stars always get a new job or go back to the old one

maybe but I'm thinking people that were on one show like Heavy D was. Although, I wonder what Ricky Norwood is doing with himself. It's hard enough getting a job after Eastenders from what I've seen, let alone adding #CBB to your resume

Megan McKenna has made a real career out of it

For the ones like Heavy D whose claim to fame was more tenuous than most, I imagine they just go back to what they were doing before they were 'famous'. The same thing will happen to Ben.

Most of the actors who can't get TV or film work do the theatre scene, I imagine and there's the club scene for the more popular reality stars.

Stephanie Davis, Jeremy McConnell, Megan McKenna and Stephen Bear got decent media careers from it.

I think CBB is used for either a quick payday so you can sort of go into retirement, pay off some debts, get you a new job or you go back to your old one.

It got her a regular gig on TOWIE since she’d finished her contract with MTV with 2 series’ of Ex on the Beach which then allowed her to purchase properties, open up her own restaurant, get endorsements with fashion brands, deals with magazines and get 2 number 1 singles on iTunes!

Don't forget her getting her own tv show, book deal and not to mention the regular TV gigs she gets.

I think by uk reality tv standards Megan has done VERY well. I cant see many people from even love island doing this well.

Yeah especially since MTV had ended their contract with her upon her entry to CBB and she only lasted 18 days and was largely overshadowed.

Megan has done quite well from it but I would imagine she would have been able to do PR in the club circuits.

I was going to give another example of James Jordan but he is into fitness so maybe gets sponsorship from things like that but I can't see Heavy D appealing to any sponsors :joker:
