It may be'natural' but so is urinating and defecating and NO respectable decent person does either of those functions in company.

As for; 'sometimes uncontrollable' all I know is that I have NEVER broke wind in front of anyone else - not even my own wife after 32 years of marriage - and I have never had anyone in my social company do so either.

It is a ****ing disgusting habit and his flippant reaction was as equally disgusting - in my opinion.
