Maybe it's because I'm not paying attention half the time but I don't understand how Roxanne's being fake? And even if she was, how is that 'bad'?

Not baiting, I'm just genuinely confused as to how Roxanne is being fake and how that is a 'bad' thing

Being fake isn't a bad thing, all I'm interested in is whether you're bringing anything to the show. If a fake persona is gonna stop you being wallpaper then I'm all for it

The jury's still out on her as a housemate for me but that's my take on your question

I don’t mind fake if it is done well, in this case it isn’t

It isn’t that bad, she’s having fun and it’s not even offensive.

I don't think she's being fake, in that I don't think she's wearing a mask or pretending to be something or someone she isn't. But I do wonder if she exaggerates some of her actions and reactions.

She was wooden as **** on Emmerdale so it's hard to tell whether this is more bad acting or she's a wooden person.

I think people prefer people who come across genuine instead of fake
I think people prefer people who come across as their age instead of childlike

Put the two together, it’ll get frustrating to watch

That said, shes probably in my top 5 lol. I like her because shes messy. I do dislike the above about her though.

They are ALL fake to a degree in that they are all trying to portray themselves in what they regard as the 'best light' to win the show and increase their 'Marquee Value', but being fake in itself is not a problem and it is more what exactly they are being fake about.

I was a Roxanne supporter upon her entering the house but the vomit-inducing infantile B.S with Desperate Ben and her totally over-the-top reaction to Hardeep's 'Roast' task has changed my perception of her.

I was prepared to accept her 'We are just good friends' spiel at face value, but her behaviour since has proved the lie of that B.S. as she leads him on, and then holds out her hand across the narrow space between their beds to be grasped by the doting idiot followed by the whispered conversations.

She is a very calculating fake.

I think people were fed up of the rabbit in headlights expression , and the energetic behaviour . Even her entrance into the house felt forced and the whole wiping her top frantically when there's nothing there  .

It's not. It's a TV show.

...yeah, maybe a little ‘crazy’......it’s interesting that she and her fiancé were engaged within a week of meeting, I hadn’t known that...and Ben married at first sight as it were..and he really did seem to connect with his new instant wife at the time...but it was only a moment, no real connection..also having a child now with his more recent attraction and great life love but already that relationship is over before the child is born..?...both Roxanne and Ben seem to be very insecure people which is maybe why they’ve bonded and ‘attracted’ to each other so quickly..a common shared thing..?...

I agree Ben & Roxy are both very insecure and they jump head first into big decisions . Ben clearly can't commit to long lasting relationships, and Roxy keeps reassuring herself about her relationship on the outside world .They both have issues ,that's why they get on so well and they're both childish.

...it’ll be interesting to see if he can commit to his child as a father, GoldHeart..whether that’s more ‘love at first thought’, the idea of being a father..

It's real life it happens, there's plenty of men out there that like the idea of being a dad but they can't actually step up to the responsibility . Ben doesn't have the intellect or maturity to commit to fatherhood , but on the other side sometimes people like him are better dads than they are husbands and boyfriends . But i won't hold my breath with Ben but who knows .

...he just loves the idea of love, I think...probably with Roxanne also...it’s a bit heartbreaking in a way..that both just can’t enjoy being themselves and loving who they are.....

There's just something very false about them, and they seem to live in their own world. I can't take to either of them :bored: .

..yeah your feelings are completely understandable, GoldHeart...I just overthink things as well I think...I tend to be quite interested in ‘false’, just because there are insecurities that make people ‘false’ you know...how they hide their insecurities behind false...it’s why I loved the old BB so much, that 24 hour thing when we saw so much of people and it as hard to ‘hide’...I cling on because I’m probably addicted now and it’s hard to overcome addictions...but the new format of manipulated highlights etc always makes me very frustrated in how little of the housemate’s characters we see to be able to form judgements...I need help to free myself and move on from BB...as it is now...
