When i saw them jump on the dinner table , i immediately thought that was unhygienic and i'm surprised they DIDN'T break the table !
...no I would really struggle, I have to say...not because of specific housemates though, I would struggle in general in any BB with the hygiene in the kitchen...I’m a bit OCD about some stuff and that would be one stuff I’m OCD about...

I never even prepare food on my own kitchen worktops, only ever on plates or glass chopping boards from the dishwasher, and dining tables are for casseroles and rissoles NOT assholes.

No.
But then I always wash any surface down before I prep on them.
I've always used a board... at my grandmothers, she uses tempered glass, which I may get because it is really easy to clean in compare to wood and adds to the decor in the kitchen if it has a print, etc on the back.. is a nice fixture for the kitchen counter...
The other thing is I don't use bleach very often on my kitchen surfaces (the chemicals destroy my sinuses)... I usually use something non-chemical-y, like lemon-based cleaners that don't obliterate my sinuses... I put the boards in actual dish soap so better for food prep... also a bamboo board it can sanded down if it really needs it...

Hands are probably dirtier than feet (you don't pick your nose with a toe).
