I don't like his personal gross habits or his crowding into others personal space with his bodily functions, it is rude and crass.

I do like his satire, his taking on other housemates intelligently with his very able use of language and how he can be oh so polite whilst insulting them at the same time.

For me he was preferably to Natalie ranting fake a million times and again to Chloe's inane giggling while stretching out in front of anyone who would give her a second glance.

I don't LIKE him, but I do think that he he's good and necessary for the dynamics of the house at least for the first half.
He is not a flat character like Natalie whose profession is being an American cliche MTV clone - he is likable and unlikable and disgusting and nice and all of these conflicts. He's provoking and true to himself for better and for worse (and not in the boring "I'm true! If I feel something I say it to people's face!!!!111" style).
I believe that this is why he has this C4 touch - C4 has put an effort in bringing characters with a say, love them or hate them.
