Dissertation ideas?

Hi guys I’m heading into my third and final year at university next week. I’m doing a degree on media and communications I’m struggling with what to do for my dissertation. I am wondering does anybody on here have any tips and advice for what I can do for my dissertation? I thought about doing Transmedia narrative in the DC universe. However I don’t want to wayyyy overload myself with work so I’m wondering does anyone on here know any ideas?

I’m a hundred percent sure I change it every week lol however I know what areas I wanna get into I like to come up with tv and film ideas along with studying about superhero films and television shows so I’m really split

What about old school sci fi films vs modern reality. In terms of what technology they thought back then in those films would exist in this day and age eg Flying cars and what things were in those films that did become a reality eg Robots and how sci fi today could give a glimpse into how society may change eg robots taking over...dont know if that counts as a dissertation but robots alien technology etc fascinates me and its suprising how old films actually predicted some of the technology we have today
