Isn't that a bit much even for a luxury budget. Was it ever this much? Makes me wonder how much they get for the economy budget because it doesn't really seem like they're suffering on it.

They dont suffer on a basic budget because they win parties all the time

Dont even win them really
Remember when kirstie had to do that quiz to prove shes english or something, and she failed, so big brother gave her a party so she can learn english lol. Would have been the exact same party if shes passed.
They just supply them with food and drink as some sort of reward or task.

I think it was £220 or something along those lines in Week 1.
& yeah, they aren't suffering because they get given parties and treats for completing easy tasks lol
The mean and uncaring sloths refusing to give some away to charity as well...disgrace.

Hardeep doesn't think it's a luxury budget as he likely eats cheap food, things like rice etc.
For the rest of the house 500 pound between like 8 adults is not an expensive shopping budget.

Not that much for the amount of housemates left.
Hardly luxury.

It won't have always been that much as the show has been running 18 years and I daresay food is more expensive now than it was in 2000.

It really is.
£500 is overkill plus they eat everyday with rewards for little challenges which totally defeats the purpose of a shopping task anyway.
I want rice and chickpeas brought back...**** me back in the day even sugar/salt was a luxury.
Just to add as well the things they were requesting be bought on the shopping list were stuff like chicken nuggets lol you can actually get a pack of 32 for under £1 in Tesco. Ridiculous amount of money.

C4 was £7 per head per day for luxury, and £1 per head per day for basic iirc
C5 i'm not even sure if there's any consistency to it, pretty sure they said £400 though last night - even so it's still a lot considering there's 7 of them.

It isn't the first time £500 has been given as a luxury budget in BB history , it is alot but not to these housemates who probably spend more than that in a week outside the house :joker:
