View Full Version : H2H evictions - successful or not?

A lot of people were pleased about just the two most nominated being up for eviction each time but now we have a situation where Sally is the only finalist who has faced eviction this series. I don't know how many times that's happened in the past but I feel like they should have had at least one eviction with more people or with everyone up just so that the other housemates know how it feels to be judged by the viewers in that way and so we see how they react to that. Apart from Ben and Jermaine - where the voters didn't decide who actually went anyway- this whole series it's just been Hardeep vs A. N. Other instead and everyone else has seriously coasted to the final

That was to decide the bottom two not who went and the housemates weren't aware of it at the time I don't think

Diabolical and overrated as always

It makes no difference that he survived over Chloe and Jermaine, he should be in the final and half of the non entities who are there have no business being so

I maintain that 2 noms and you're up with VTS should be the rule. Failing that, two all-up votes to save a series (that are doubles) should cull enough deadwood

We want Nat/Chlo/Jermaine over Dan/Nick/Ryan!

I do like it- leads to more tense evictions and less predictable outcomes. I prefer vote to evict anyway, so having de facto VTE evictions this series has been great for me. I do think having this many head to head evictions has been more of a quirk of this series being quite conflict-light. We'll have to see how it pans out in the civilian series to judge.

They have been so so so awful the fact we’re left with dan and gabby in the final is a travesty and the fact it took so long to get et Ben and Jermaine out is an outrage

While I like the head to head most of the time I do agree with this and really liked the whole people's nominations twist leading to Ben and Jermaine being up.

I think the fact that there's so much deadwood in the final is more the fault of casting than voting format, tbh. If you cast it right, the voting format shouldn't make that much difference to the overall show, as when big characters are voted out new people come through.

Yes they have but its what happens and is mean't to happen as its what BB is about - Hardeep has been there every time cos everyone in there voted him , had we not had situations where the other nominee's didn't deserve it Hardeep would have been long gone ! then we would have had other noms but he got kept in when we really we would have been glad to see him go so **** him i say ya got yer fee go wear a kilt and be happy.

I have changed my mind and do think there needs to be at least 3 up every week. At the same time, why ARE boring people being casted?

Gabby and Dan come across nice enough but are so bland. Nick can be quite comical but again he's not got much about him. And that is half of our finalists...

Yeah and no.

Mostly yeah, but I agree that some people get off scot free.

I've liked it, it's just a shame that there were obvious nomination choices where there were only 2/3 standout housemates.

I think in Civilian BB, things would be different

Very few head-to-head evictions in the history of Big Brother have actually been unpredictable or too difficult to call. You probably get 1 (2 at most) unpredictable head-to-head per series and the rest are all obvious and anti-climatic, as this series has shown.

Plus it seems really pointless using VTS format if only 2 are up because it essentially turns into a reverse VTE.

VTS with 3 or more people with the most nominations up is the perfect format IMO.

I'm just glad they stuck to the original nomination rule idc if that leads to a lot of h2hs.

D & G would still be there if it was 3 or more up, or if it was 2 noms and you are up.

Yeah I think they’re brilliant, they’ve made every single eviction feel like a big event this series which was deeply lost recently. Having triple evictions, 7 up for 1 eviction and so on just got boring but having a simple face off each week is much more tense and must-see

for celebrity big brother, anyway. For bbuk I worry that big characters will leave way too soon, I wasn’t bothered about it in cbb because it only then went on 2 more weeks

Everyone was up last week.

I'm glad they had that eviction with everyone up. But I think they should of done that again. I hated the killer nomination . It was wasted .
