Estelle was approached to become a judge but rejected it

SIMON Cowell asked superstar Estelle to join him as a judge on The X Factor - but she turned him down.

The X Factor supremo was keen to get the Grammy Award winning Brit on his show but she told The Sun Online it could never have happened.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun Online for the release of her fab fifth album Lover's Rock, American Boy singer Estelle, 38, said: "I love Simon.

"I was approached to be a judge.

"They were trying to make it work - but my schedules clashed."
