Hmm, I'm not sure, I'd rather Calypso be a standalone really. Thought the development of the "Holly" would be interesting to see!

Really enjoyed the first ep, the new titles were good and I love the much brighter and more hopeful tone

Todays ep was fantastic, felt a lot like classic Trek, this season so far is already better than last

I've been watching classic Trek for the first time, and wow it's good. It's actually killed Discovery for me, which is even when not compared to TOS, is just okay, but now it's plummeted!

Once I've finished watching TOS I'll probably go "back" and finish S2 of Discovery, but I'm in no rush <3

so Tilly was revealed as alive but in the ecosystem of mycealial spores and shock return of Dr Hugh Culber (who we thought died when Voq broke his neck but apparently came into the mycealial ecosystem via Stamets spore sweat) and they successfully brought him back into the real world, new birth in the cocoon


i'm quite enjoying this season so far :hee:

Oh, that wasn't actually related to AI, but is related to his later appearance in The Original Series, it's sadly always been his fate, as it happened way back in the 60's episode 'The Menagerie'

Indeed, its worth watching 'The Cage' and 'The Menagerie' just for the extra bits of Pike's story (though The Cage was the original pilot episode and has some concepts that were dropped for the series)

It's not all bad for Pike, once he's back on Talos IV, he can spend the rest of his days as he is now, but living happily with Vina (the woman who appeared to him earlier this season)

I really liked that finale, so many good moments.
