The OG terrified me as a kid so I can't wait for this, looks very good!
For anyone unfamiliar with the story, it's a Stephen King novel:
Doctor Louis Creed moves his family to Maine, where he meets a friendly local named Jud Crandall. After the Creeds' cat is accidentally killed, Crandall advises Louis to bury it in the ground near the old pet cemetery. The cat returns to life, its personality changed for the worse. When Louis' son, Gage, dies tragically, Louis decides to bury the boy's body in the same ground despite the warnings of Crandall and Louis' visions of a deceased patient.

Oh yay! Glad it's not a "Netflix Original", they're almost always crap when they're based on existing things.

It terrified me as a kid, my sister made me watch it when I was about 6ish and honestly I was bad for weeks :joker:
I re-watched the other month and it kind of hasn't aged well SFX-wise :joker:

This has had all great reviews so far in early screenings. Some saying it beats the IT remake as the best adaptation of a King novel.
On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 88% based on 40 reviews, with an average rating of 7.6/10. The website's critical consensus reads, "Sometimes remade is better", a reference to the film's promotional tagline. On Metacritic, the film has a weighted average score of 71 out of 100, based on 12 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews".
It's out Friday here in the UK.
